Synopsis
Sienna doubts Martha's reasons for being in the village, Ste reconnects with Leah, and Frankie's dance academy audition has an unwelcome attendee.Plot
JJ discovers the letter providing details of Frankie's audition. While moving back into her flat, Sienna continues to speculate on Martha's intentions, but Dilly believes they should at least speak with her. Frankie's taxi departs for her audition, as JJ fails to chase it down. Sienna confronts Martha about being a family member and accuses Martha of being the one who drugged her. Ste visits Leela, but instead finds Peri, who berates Ste for being so absent in both Leela and Leah's lives. Frankie arrives for her audition, and meets Kaylee Grace. As Frankie performs her dance piece, she is momentarily stunned by seeing JJ sitting in the auditorium, and manages to compose herself to finish the audition, but is distressed by his presence.
Martha reveals she's been diagnosed with terminal cancer, and whilst sorting out her affairs, she came across the letter Dilly had sent to all possible relatives, and decided to reach out. Sienna is still suspicious of why she was so secretive and once again questions her about the spiking, but Martha claims she was simply walking past and seen Sienna sleeping. Martha claims to be a second cousin of Dilly's grandfather, then apologises for imposing and excuses herself, but Dilly insists on helping her. Ste finds Leah at the park and apologises for being distracted recently. Leah worries about needing her dad whilst he's in prison, but Ste emphasises he'll still be there for her. Ste promises to spend every day with Leah and Lucas until his hearing and makes plans with her that afternoon. Frankie tells Kaylee Grace she believes she's messed up her audition. JJ appears, revealing he decided to miss a football game to come and support Frankie, impressing Kaylee Grace. At Harcourt Grove, Sienna still believes Martha is lying, and Liberty agrees. They convince Dilly to remain wary and proceed slowly with Martha.
JJ was impressed by Frankie's audition and tells her he hopes she gets into the dance academy. Frankie is surprised he's being supportive, but discovers he believes she'll only be travelling to Manchester on a daily basis. Whilst swapping socials with Kaylee Grace, JJ finds a pamphlet in Frankie's bag, revealing the academy is in London. Grace tells Freddie their wedding has been approved for three days' time, so they need to speed up their plans. Warren wants Ste to spend the night preparing bottles for a Netherlands shipment the next day, stopping him from being able to meet Leah as planned. When Frankie arrives home, it's revealed JJ has told Darren and Suzanne about the audition, under the pretence of being worried about her. They believe Frankie won't be able to handle the pressure, and without the support of family nearby, she could turn to drink or self-harm. Despite Frankie's protests, Darren suggests auditioning again next year. Martha makes a phone call, informing the person Sienna isn't related to them, despite holding a letter confirming an almost 100% DNA match. Sienna, Liberty and Dilly say goodbye to Harcourt Grove.Cast
