Synopsis
Marie and Leela's fight leaves Joel unsure about his upcoming nuptials, Kitty divulges the details of her baby secret to Beau as they continue their cover up, and Dave discovers "Treasure" has links in the village.Plot
Tony visits Dave and Cindy, and tries to empathise with Dave, mentioning Harry's death, and encourages him to make amends with Cindy, but Dave rejects his advice. Beau and Kitty lie to Diane that she received her black eye in a car crash travelling from her training course. Leela and Joel send out invitations to lunch to keep their wedding a surprise. Marie berates Abe for abandoning their plans with Arlo, causing Leela to accuse Marie of not being grateful of how supportive Abe has been. When Leela leaves, Liberty arrives, and Marie overhears her discussing a "final session" with Joel. A remorseful Kitty explains to Beau how she only slept with Lizzie under pressure from Declan, then wanted nothing to do with the baby after Lizzie told her she'd fallen pregnant. John Paul arrives and questions what happened at the cottage.
Dave comes to see "Treasure" and accuses her of stealing his wallet. Hannah feigns ignorance then reminds Dave if he contacts the police, his wife will find out he contacted an escort. Marie manages to trick Liberty into revealing Joel and Leela are planning their wedding. Dave is stunned when Cindy "introduces" him to Hannah Ashworth, and he realises she is "Treasure". Marie confronts Joel about his wedding plans, then accuses Leela of being the one who wants Marie excluded. Leela loses her patience with Marie, telling her she's overstayed her welcome. Leela admits she hopes Joel can do a better job than his parents did, however, this leaves Joel questioning if Leela thinks he'll be a bad father. Marie encourages this ideal, so Leela resorts to kicking her out. When Marie alludes to Joel just being a "sperm donor" like all Leela's other kid's dads, Leela slaps her across the face.
Dave follows Hannah and tells her to keep the money, just return the wallet. Hannah remains nonchalant, causing Dave to become more aggressive with her until he gets a fraud alert from his bank. Hannah continues to feign ignorance over his stolen wallet. Beau and Kitty have lied to John Paul about it being the wrong cottage, but Kitty admits to John Paul that she too underwent conversion therapy. Leela confides in Cleo that she and Joel have had a fight. Liberty comes over and apologises for accidentally telling Marie about the wedding, surprising Leela that she knows in the first place, and inadvertently revealing the news to Cleo. Leela ponders whether the wedding will happen at all, but Cleo tells her to go home and get ready.
At The Dog, Joel explains to Abe and Marie that the lunch invites were to cover for the surprise wedding, but questions if he can marry someone who thinks he could be a bad dad. After sleeping with Cindy, Dave receives an enticing message from "Treasure". A passed-out Joel is found by Cleo, and he drunkenly confesses he should've picked her over Leela. Joel briefly kisses Cleo, but she pushes him off. In her hotel room, Robbie and Hannah discuss Dave's card being cancelled. Robbie reminds Hannah they don't do repeat clients; she sleeps with them, robs them, and moves on. But Hannah is adamant any husband of Cindy's must be rich, leaving Robbie unsure.Cast
