Synopsis
The Chen-Williams struggle to come to terms with the details of Lizzie's death, as the other pill takers panic about what to do next, and Marie's bender leads to revelations about Abe's upbringing.Plot
In The Loft toilets, Dilly, Prince, Hunter, and Zoe frantically try to purge the drugs from their bodies and discuss their options. A hidden Mason overhears a panicked Dilly admit Lizzie is dead because of a pill she gave her. Cleo tells Joel that Abe was the one behind Arlo's kidnapping. Mason tells his family that Lizzie is dead because she'd taken a pill and accuses Dave of being the reason she done so. Dilly worries the police will come after her for Lizzie's death, but Zoe informs the group they'll all be questioned.
Abe tries to explain to Joel that he was protecting Arlo, but Cleo argues that Marie has changed, and calls Abe's actions "twisted". Joel gets a message from Tony about Marie, and they leave to find her. The group in the toilets agree to lie to the police to protect each other. Mason believes Lizzie took the drugs over being traumatised by her baby secret, unable to even tell her own dad. Dave still denies Lizzie would've taken anything, but Mason pushes the belief it was because of Dave. A distressed Dave says Mason should be the one in the body bag and throws him out, as Ethan goes after him. Marie returns to an empty house, and collapses.
Zoe admits to Hunter she never actually took a pill, and then confesses she did cheat but regrets it. Hunter infers he can't forgive her, then appears unwell when she leaves. After finding Marie collapsed, Abe resuscitates her as Joel calls the ambulance. Hunter discusses Zoe cheating on him with Prince and Mercedes, unsure whether to break up with her, and admitting he was relieved it was Lizzie who died, and not Zoe or Prince. Prince agrees with the sentiment.
Marie confesses she took drugs, and recounts details of a previous occasion when Abe had to resuscitate her for similar reasons, when he was Arlo's age. Cleo tries to comfort an upset Abe, but he rejects her efforts. Cindy tries to calm down a spiralling Dave, telling him Lizzie's death was an accident and that he's a good father. Cleo tries to stop Abe from breaking up with her due to her earlier comments, but Abe accuses her of not trusting him and leaves.
Cindy finds Mason, but he tells her he's moving away to live with his mum, as he doesn't want to be his dad's "punching bag". Thinking Hunter is asleep, Prince confesses to him that he is the one who slept with Zoe. Realising how cold Hunter is, Prince tries to wake him, alerting Cleo and Mercedes. Cleo checks Hunter's pulse, and informs them that Hunter has passed away.Cast
