Synopsis
Ste makes amends with Leah then makes a deal with Warren, Freya worries about being fostered, Cindy isn't impressed with Dave's latest option for a wedding venue, and Marie makes a discovery about Abe's connection to Arlo's disappearance.Plot
James reads a letter stating Ste's court appearance has been moved to 9th July at 10am, as Ste brings Lucas home. John Paul tells Freya social services have organised foster care for her. Arlo hopes for a new tablet for his birthday, then tries to delay going to The Dog when he receives a text asking to meet in the alley at 12pm. Ste explains to Leah how Carter preyed on Lucas, and James tells the family about the contents of the letter. Lucas hopes James can stop Ste from having to go to prison, but an upset Leah believes Ste going to prison might stop him from causing more hurt.
Scott tries to calm Freya's fears about fostering. At The Dog, Arlo opens gifts then excuses himself to the toilet. Dave reveals to an unenthusiastic Cindy that Lizzie has offered up The Love Boat as a wedding venue. Ste reveals to Leah that Lucas has come out to him. Leah confesses it was easier to hate Ste for what he did to Ella, but now that he's saved Lucas, she's mad at herself for loving him. Conflicted in both wanting and not wanting to forgive Ste, she says she doesn't know if Ste is the best dad in world or the worst.
Joel checks on Arlo and realises he's gone. In the alley, Arlo's surprise visitor is revealed to be Demi, who gifts him a tablet and tickets to a basketball game in Paris. Demi refers to herself and Chris as Arlo's "real family".
Demi lies that Marie already knows Arlo is going to Paris to see Chris, and recalls Abe bringing Arlo to her and Chris on his last birthday. Maxine and Scott tell Freya they are going to foster her. As Demi forces Arlo into her car, he realises Marie isn't aware of Demi's plans. Abe finds them and makes a show of stopping her in front of Cleo and Marie, but Demi calls him a hypocrite, asking how Marie would react if she found out he was responsible for Arlo going "missing". Demi lets Arlo out of the car before driving away.
Lucas comes out to Dillon, seeking forgiveness for his past actions, and thanking Dillon for helping him be himself. Mason asks Lizzie if Honour has been in contact with her, as she's been phoning him. Cindy tells Lizzie she doesn't want to use The Love Boat as her wedding venue as it's special to her and Luke, but Dave overhears. Ste questions if James is fit to be a dad to his kids if he ends up inside, but James infers they're old enough to care for themselves. Freya receives abuse online, calling her a homophobe like her father. Following James' earlier comments, Ste agrees to go to Amsterdam for Warren, provided his kids get the money if anything goes wrong. Marie finds a video on Arlo's tablet revealing Abe was the one who took Arlo to stay with Chris and Demi.Cast
