Synopsis

Grace and Freddie discuss their plans, Ro confronts Declan at the school, Donny and Misbah get closer, and Darren tries to connect with Frankie.

Plot

At the prison, Grace and Freddie discuss Warren Fox, and declare their love for one another. Misbah is angry at Zain for offering their home to Donny and Vicky without considering her. JJ surprises Frankie with a new dancing outfit in return for keeping quiet, which she accepts but feels repulsed by.

Freddie and Grace talk about Lexi; revealing Sandy sent her to live with someone else. The pair have made plans to seek out a fortune left for Sandy, detailed in a letter from Fraser Black, which Freddie found in South Africa. They confirm their commitment to each other, and it's revealed they are engaged. Freddie lies that he hasn't fallen for anyone else whilst Grace has been in prison.

Carter misgenders Ro and introduces Declan as a school inspector to him. Ro tells Declan he knows who he really is. Freddie plans to break Grace out of prison and go on the run, and he shows her the code that Fraser had stashed with the gun. Darren tries to talk to Frankie about Lucas and her self-harm, and she starts to confide in him, but stops when JJ enters.

Ro tries to get a video recording of Declan admitting to being a conversion therapist, but Declan feigns ignorance and threatens him. Kitty continues making plans to leave the village, but receives the video recording from Ro. Freddie offers to investigate. Zoe finds out Sharon is moving to Dubai and wants her to move too. Declan denies Ro's accusations, then Freddie arrives and threatens Declan, telling him to leave the village, before punching him.

Misbah and Donny discuss her marriage with Zain and the kids. Misbah then accidentally spills iced coffee on Donny's shirt when he implies she's the reason her kids have all left home. Freddie tells Kitty that Declan has left, without ever finding out she was also in the village. Tony and Diane return home and reveal they must pay a fine, and she has lost her licence following their court appearance.

JJ overhears Darren discussing Frankie with Suzanne, and recommending counselling. Donny and Misbah apologise to each other, and he starts to flirt, and teases that the feelings are mutual, leading to Misbah kissing him. Declan leaves the village in a taxi, but changes his plans when he spots Kitty.
