Synopsis

Abe's shocked when Chris shows up at the youth club with an unconscious Arlo. Sally keeps a big secret from her family. Sienna learns what Warren's instructed Ste to do to Murphy.

Plot

Cleo shares her paranoia about Abe with Prince, as Abe arranges a meeting with Chris at Hollyoaks Wreck. Sally has a letter from the hospital reminding her of the appointment she has today. Ste goes to see Murphy, but Sienna beat him to it. Prince tries to defend Abe, as Cleo is intent on finding out what he's up to. Sienna is furious that Ste broke her trust and wonders what else he's hiding. He admits that Warren has ordered him to "deal with" the Murphy situation. Sally reluctantly says she'll attend Mercedes' appointment with her—even though it clashes with her own important appointment—because nobody else can accompany her.

Sienna reminds Ste that what happened to Ella was a terrible accident, not cold-blooded murder, and can't let him murder Murphy. Ste thinks Warren will leave him alone when it's done. Cleo follows Abe but loses sight of him. Marie tells Cleo the police say there has been a sighting of Arlo in Manchester, thanks to the photo she posted online. Marie guilt-trips Cleo into going with her. Mercedes gives reasons why she is a high-risk pregnancy—Gabriel, her miscarriage, being pregnant with twins, the car crash, and her age. Misbah comes to collect Sally for her appointment, but Sally makes an excuse to Mercedes that they're starting a book club, which Misbah goes along with.

Dilly congratulates Prince on his new job and tries to make amends. Cleo and Marie wonder if Chris and Arlo being in Ireland was a big lie. Marie shows Cleo a photo of a teddy called 'Mr. Pickles' that Arlo won at a fair, and notes that it was attached to the strap on Arlo's rucksack. Chris carries a sleeping Arlo on his shoulder, carrying the same rucksack with 'Mr. Pickles' attached. They arrive at Hollyoaks Wreck and meet Abe, and realise that Arlo won't wake up. Sally attends a rescheduled appointment with Misbah and learns she has an abdominal aortic aneurysm, but it hasn't grown between scans. She is recommended to live a healthy and stress-free lifestyle, and have annual screenings. Chris admits he has sedated Arlo, and it appears Demi doesn't know he's there. He's had enough of being on the run and is handing Arlo over to Abe. Arlo begins to come round and sees Abe accidentally slap Chris during a struggle, as Abe runs away and locks them both inside the youth club. Ste wheels Murphy to a car at the hospital entrance and drives off, as Sienna watches on. Mercedes asks Sally what's wrong, and Sally gives her a heavily filtered explanation. Mercedes encourages her to live her life to the full. Abe arrives back at 2 Oakdale Drive to find Marie upset—Manchester was another dead end. Cleo confronts Abe over his "cheating".

Ste tells Warren that he has killed Murphy, and demands this is over. Sienna tells Maxine and Dilly that none of them have to worry about Murphy anymore. Later, when alone, Ste phones Murphy and tells him that Warren bought his story, and suggests he gets far away from Hollyoaks or Warren will kill them both. Abe tries to convince Cleo he isn't cheating. Cleo brings up the Theresa issue, and Abe reminds her she lied about Joel. Abe says the message on his phone was from a client who wanted to quit, and swears on it. Cleo spots a backpack with a teddy attached in Abe's possession, and questions why he has 'Mr. Pickles'. Sally writes a bucket list.
