Synopsis

Dilly makes a shock discovery in the woods. Marie feels hopeful after some good news from Cleo. Lucas pushes Dillon away thanks to Carter's intervention.

Plot

The women at Harcourt Grove are still on edge. Abe returns home from Dublin in a bad mood. Prince is cleaning the windows of The Cage. Dillon apologises for embarrassing Lucas, but he's not in the mood to talk. Norma arrives at Harcourt Grove, and Sienna attempts to hide the bloodied rug from her. Liberty wants to ask Norma for help, but Sienna puts a stop to it and encourages the others to act normal. Peri gets a message that appears to be positive for their plan to help Marie. Dilly goes for a run and finds Murphy collapsed behind the folly. He's not moving, and she phones Maxine. Carter arrives at the SBU to find Lucas, and wants to get to the root of why he strayed so far from the path. Carter attempts to show empathy for Lucas exploring his emotions and curiosities. Lucas receives his phone back and is instructed to delete the ManMeet app.

Abe phones Chris about his no-show last night, and apologises to Cleo for his bad mood earlier. He hears of their plan to start a fundraiser, and how they've contacted Yazz's friend at The Chester Herald to boost it. Abe asks Cleo to take it down, with the excuse that they can't get Marie's hopes up again. The other women arrive to see Murphy's body. Liberty realises he is breathing. Maxine wants to call an ambulance; Sienna thinks he could identify all of them, but Maxine calls them anyway, with Sienna grabbing her phone and running before she can give their location.

Lucas wants to leave the SBU and tells Carter what triggered him to meet Ged—the rejection from Dillon. Carter recommends he removes Dillon from his life, for his own salvation. Dilly worries that the police will never believe her if she's linked to Murphy's injury, after what happened with Rafe. Marie is made-up with the fundraiser, and pleased to hear that the mother of the deceased boy has donated £5,000 from their search fund. Marie wants to pay the private investigator to continue searching for Arlo. Cleo notices that Abe looks nervous.

Norma gives Prince an immediate job trial at The Loft, as he attracts female clientele. Cleo wonders what Abe meant when he said Arlo is never coming home. He makes it a problem for Cleo's conscience in order to manipulate her. Dilly sets her sights on Prince at The Loft thinking he'll buy her drinks, but he hasn't forgotten her ghosting him after their date. Maxine uses her work as a cover for asking Peri if a patient has come into the hospital with a gunshot wound. Peri directs her to Murphy's room, to find a hooded figure in the room with him. Lucas calls Dillon a "dirty pervert", blaming him for getting him drunk so he'd try it on. Maxine realises the hooded figure in Murphy's room is Ste. She demands he explains himself, as Peri asks them both to leave. Marie considers breakfast television a good place to start with her search, as Cleo tries to talk her down. Cleo becomes paranoid when she spots a message from an unknown number on Abe's phone, which she assumes is from a lover. Ste visits Warren to update him on Murphy, as Warren fumes over Murphy possibly blowing the whole operation. Warren orders him to finish Murphy before the police get hold of him. Carter congratulates Lucas on cutting off temptation.
