Synopsis
Mercedes turns to an old face to help protect her from Warren. Diane's hurt when Tony goes behind her back. Frankie's given a journal to write her feelings in.Plot
Sally insists that Mercedes stands up to Warren. Carter lends his support to Tony and Diane. Diane's livid that Tony's gone behind her back and spoken to Carter about Ro. Suzanne checks in on Frankie but isn't moving back in just yet. At the suggestion of the social worker, she gives Frankie a journal so that she can write down her feelings. Leah takes advantage of Ste, using his debit card to purchase accessories. Sally offers to talk to Ro but Diane doesn't think they're ready yet. Mercedes smashes up The Loft, causing Warren to lose his temper and turn on her. She tearfully leaves and rings somebody asking for their help.
Frankie's desperate for her mother to move back in but Suzanne isn't sure. Warren breaks down to his mother about feeling destined not to have a family. He wants to move away but Norma convinces him to stay and put things right. Dave fits new locks at the McQueens. Mercedes wonders how they're going to pay him. Carter gives Diane resources to help her come to terms with Ro before airing his personal opinions on the matter to her. When Tony returns, Diane tells him they're not changing Ro's name or pronouns until they both feel it's right. Warren watches the McQueens unite to raise money. After overhearing a conversation between JJ and Darren, Ste tells Leah he's going to move out.
Ro's upset when he finds the resources that Diane's been given by Carter. Tony reassures Ro that he'll try and use his correct name and pronouns wherever he can when they're alone together, but Diane overhears their conversation and is gutted that her husband's gone against their earlier conversation. She makes Tony sleep on the sofa, needing space from him. Frankie writes in her journal that JJ terrifies her. JJ steals the journal off of her and reads what she's written. Warren apologises to Mercedes for scaring her but is then left speechless when the shutters open on the garage, revealing Freddie Roscoe.Cast
