Synopsis

Frankie finds herself in trouble with Zoe after a public incident with her mother. Cleo and Prince help Mercedes sort out the garage. Ste's horrified to learn he's being discharged.

Plot

Nancy and Darren reinforce their apologies for what Frankie overheard the previous night, but Frankie doesn't believe them. Frankie is excited about her upcoming manicure with Suzanne, but refuses an offer of brunch with Darren and JJ. Ste worries about being put in prison alongside Warren's associates, and talks of how his kids refuse to visit him, but James says he'll try to persuade them to come. Mercedes complains about the lack of money coming into the house, and Abe suggests using the garage. Once alone, Abe makes a panicked phone call to Chris, telling him about the CCTV footage and the hoodie. Ethan persuades Suzanne to hang out when he sees her in the Bazaar. Leah tells JJ that Lucas has a big crush on Frankie, leading JJ to become annoyed and tell Darren he wants to eat at home with Frankie. While cleaning up the garage, Prince finds a rolled-up sign, and tells Cleo he has an idea. At home, JJ questions Frankie about Lucas, and asks to play "school discos". Frankie pushes him off and slams the door on JJ's foot. As JJ cradles his foot, he shouts that Frankie did it on purpose, just as Charlie returns home. Frankie leaves the house in tears.

Abe pretends he was planning a surprise when Cleo walks in on the mess he's made looking for the hoodie. Cleo decides she's going to give Abe a romantic surprise instead, but as she puts her coat on to head out, Abe sees the hoodie on the coat stand. Theresa and Prince start a carwash outside the garage, with the money going towards Mercedes' babies. Frankie calls Suzanne, saying she needs her mum, but hears Ethan, and realises Suzanne has opted to go drinking. James tries to persuade Leah to visit Ste, reminding her that Ste was only on the road to save her life. Darren returns home with a limping JJ, informing Nancy that JJ has torn a ligament in his foot. JJ lies that he hurt it when helping Frankie reach the top cupboard. Warren tells Norma about a money laundering deal he has with someone in Spain. Warren explains half the money will go through The Loft, and the other half through the garage.

Cleo has prepared an afternoon tea for Abe, who complains about the white bread on offer. Abe gets a text from Chris informing him they're staying in Ireland. Distracted, Abe offers the food to Prince, then gets frustrated with Cleo. Ste is wheeled out of the hospital room, as James, Leah and Lucas arrive. Ste is s happy they've came, but Warren appears, and Leah works out that Warren was the one who pushed Ste off the roof. Warren threatens Ste and the kids, saying there's no way for Ste to protect them from prison. Frankie is upset when she sees Suzanne and Ethan making out in the village. Suzanne tries to make amends by asking Frankie to show off her dancing for Ethan. Telling her to pretend she's at the school disco triggers Frankie, who lashes out and attacks Suzanne, throwing her to the ground. Zoe is nearby and grabs a shaken Frankie, saying she's coming down to the station with her.
