Synopsis
Nancy thinks she might be pregnant. John Paul is offered his job back but told by Carter that any interactions must be strictly professional. Cleo covers for Abe.Plot
D.S. Banks questions Mariein the police station on how long she has been using sedatives. Marie doesn't understand how they got in her bag. Banks reveals a witness has described Arlo as "sleepy" in the days before going missing, and asks Marie if she sedated Arlo, so he'd cooperate in a kidnapping plan she was involved in. Dillon accuses Carter of indoctrination, but Carter states his faith is a source of comfort to him, as it is to Lucas. Carter tells Dillon he needs to show he cares by giving Lucas space. At The Dog, Nancy and John Paul discuss his recent suspension. Nancy complains about the number of people in her house. Suzanne, JJ and Frankie enter the pub, and join them, much to Nancy's displeasure. Beau catches Kitty coming home, and says he wants to get to know the real her. Kitty states he couldn't handle that, and that she's "not even supposed to be a nurse", leaving Beau confused. Cleo and Abe discuss Marie, and Abe wonders if Arlo is better off where he is. He reveals to Cleo that he was the one who reported Marie to the police.
JJ asking Darren if he's coming to his game on Saturday alerts Nancy to it being the end of the month already. She asks to speak to Darren in private, revealing her period is late. Carter and Freya discuss her break up with Dillon, and Carter tells her she'll soon be able to forgive him, which will be a good display of personal strength. Suzanne asks Frankie why she is leaving her bedroom at night to sleep on the sofa with her, emphasising that Frankie needs to start sleeping on her own again. Frankie begs not to, but when Suzanne ask why not, Frankie looks off at JJ before changing the topic and asking if she and Suzanne can do something together, without JJ. Cleo tells Abe calling the police was the right thing to do, but Marie overhears, so Cleo takes the blame. Nancy's pregnancy test is negative, but she tells Darren he will have to get a vasectomy.
Beau questions Kitty on her comment earlier, but she hides the truth by saying it's because she isn't smart enough. Marie and Abe discuss how forgetful she can be, and Abe lies that she must've put the sedatives in her bag herself and tells her to let him handle the investigation from now on. Carter asks John Paul for forgiveness, and he accepts and agrees to return to work. Carter clarifies that, going forward, they will be colleagues only. That night, Frankie overhears Darren and Nancy discuss how difficult things have been recently, and a floorboard creak reveals her presence. Despite Abe's request, Joel feels he can't stop the investigation and looks for clues in the CCTV photo. While focusing on the number plate of the car, someone wearing a printed hoodie is visible also. At the McQueen house, Abe realises that Theresa is wearing the same printed hoodie.Cast
