Synopsis
Mercedes and Warren attend a baby scan together. Andre hears Vicky's true thoughts on him. Carter issues John Paul a threat.Plot
Scott and Maxine try and get Carter involved in their New Year's Day tradition of roasting each other over their previous relationships, but an uncomfortable Carter refuses to play with them and instead makes an excuse that he needs to go over budgets with Sally. Vicky bickers with Leah over her using Andre as a rebound for Dillon. Andre walks in and hears about how Vicky has her doubts in trusting him.
Warren meets Mercedes at the hospital for her scan, having booked one in for her earlier. At La Gymnastique, Zain and Darren get competitive. The sonographer struggles to find the baby's heartbeat so goes to get a second opinion; Mercedes is convinced she's lost the baby and leaves. Vicky tries to make amends with Andre. Whilst at the McQueens, Carter has to help John Paul out as he suffers cramps after a workout.
Vicky tells Andre that Misbah's willing to let him stay in her spare room so that he can remain in the village. Darren opens up to Zain about how he sent Nancy a photo with a filter on it and now wants to get fit for her. Zain arranges for them to go for a run tomorrow. Carter accuses John Paul of harassing him and threatens to reconsider his position at the school if he doesn't leave him alone. On the City Wall, Warren tries to get Mercedes to confess her love to him, but she refuses to.Cast

Broadcast History and Releases
- This episode was originally produced and scheduled with the intention to broadcast on 3rd January 2024, but due to Hollyoaks being removed from the Channel 4 schedule at short notice, its 'intended' Channel 4 Streaming date of 29th December 2023 at 7:30 pm became its new official date, however, this episode was released as part of the 2023 festive boxset which launched on 22nd December 2023. This episode premiered on E4 on 2nd January 2024 at 7:00 pm.
