Plot
John Paul wants answers from Carter at once and is left shocked when Carter insists he's helping people find their righteous way in life. Ste's desperate to salvage his marriage and talk things through with James, but James is reluctant to let go of what his husband said and who he compared him to. A tearful Peri shows Nadira the leaflet for a concert to raise money for cancer patients. Nadira invites Peri to lean on her for support. Carter shockingly claims that everything that's happened in John Paul's life leads back to his chosen way of life with other men. Scott tells Sally about his and John Paul's kiss. Sally agrees that John Paul's behaviour was out of character and invites Scott to keep opening up to her as she listens.
John Paul's speechless when Carter reveals he once had feelings for men, but upon telling his father everything, he was told being gay was "the Devil's work". John Paul wants to help Carter. Peri and Nadira reflect on Juliet, with Nadira admitting that Juliet caused her a lot of pain outing her on her wedding day. Despite this, she's grateful to Juliet for teaching her that there was no shame in her sexuality. John Paul helps Carter realise that God loves all of his creations and he doesn't make mistakes. James opens up to Ste. He knows he has his demons, but being with Ste helps him fight them.
John Paul wants Carter to start living and not be afraid, but Carter isn't ready to start living his true life and rejects any help from John Paul, so John Paul agrees to let Carter live his own life, provided he leaves him and every other gay person alone. Sally gives a touching speech to Scott on the LGBTQ+ solidarity flag and what it means to her and the rest of the community. In the village, Ste, James, Scott, Sally, Nadira and Peri all cross paths. They head to the cellar of The Cage to celebrate when Scott gets one of the lead roles in the Christmas fairy parade. John Paul and Carter end up kissing passionately.Cast

- This episode was originally produced and scheduled with the intention to broadcast on 14th November 2023, but due to Hollyoaks being removed from the Channel 4 schedule at short notice, its Channel 4 Streaming date of 10th November 2023 at 7:30 pm became its new official date. This episode premiered on E4 on 13th November 2023 at 7:00 pm.
