Synopsis
Carter refuses to turn his back on John Paul. Rayne hides a letter from Donna-Marie Quinn from Romeo. He's upset when he later finds it in her handbag. Darren struggles to cope away from Charlie.Plot
John Paul's released from Dee Valley Police Station and finds Carter outside with a coffee for him. Rayne hides post addressed to Romeo from Donna-Marie from him. Carter tells John Paul that he believes in him and feels like he can help him. Darren's reluctant to take on a last minute shift at The Dog as he wants to be there for Charlie, but Jack reminds him he can't watch over him all the time. The McQueens are chuffed when John Paul returns home. Rayne's stressed when some influencers drop out of the upcoming pool party. Romeo's frustrated with his mother when he learns from Leela that she's received post from Donna-Marie.
Goldie and Mercedes stumble across Carter having a conversation with a stranger and Goldie hears John Paul's name. Darren struggles when Charlie doesn't pick up his phone whilst he's at work and ends up rushing off to see him, leaving Tony in the lurch. Romeo finds the letter from Donna-Marie hidden in Rayne's handbag. Charlie invites Shing Lin along to his first CBT session tomorrow. Hunter opens up to Zoe about how he feels like his relationship with Neeta was a lie. Goldie thinks Carter's gay and attracted to John Paul. Rayne tells Romeo she was trying to protect him. An upset Romeo wants to be away from Rayne but he finds himself on the receiving end of her anger when he makes a remark about the upcoming pool party.
Tony checks in on Darren and Darren opens up to him. Zoe tries to surprise Hunter with paint to cover the mural he once drew. Rayne promotes the party with a livestream. She tells Romeo she loves him and everything she does is for them. John Paul finds himself in an awkward situation when he suggests to Carter they go out for dinner, only to learn Carter has a girlfriend. Carter hands John Paul a leaflet for his self-help group and suggests to John Paul he attends. Once John Paul's gone, Carter rings Gareth and wants to get the group together as soon as possible, telling him that John Paul "is ready".Cast
