Synopsis
At rock bottom and unable to cope any longer, Charlie heads to a beach and attempts to take his own life. Carter keeps an eye on Hunter. Ella receives the DNA test results - is Warren Fox her father?Plot
Darren wants to bin Charlie's lyrics. Goldie confronts Carter, wanting to know why he reported Hunter to the police. She feels like he's targeting her family. Hunter's due a review so Carter decides to sit in on his classes. Ella has the DNA test results but can't bring herself to open the envelope, so Norma suggests they have lunch together to talk things over. Ella hands Norma the envelope. Felix hasn't been in touch with Mercedes and she's getting worried. Darren tells Tony about Charlie. Tony suggests the song lyrics read as a cry for help.
Charlie wanders the village suffering an anxiety attack. Norma's plans for a quiet lunch with Ella are disturbed when Cindy and Dave also show up. Darren asks Shing Lin to ring Charlie. She agrees to do so after school. Carter tells Hunter he'll be keeping a close eye on him as there's been chatter on social media about him and Freya. Shing Lin's concerned when Charlie sends her a photo of a lighthouse with lyrics he's written attached as a message. She informs Darren of the text. Warren fills Mercedes in on his ongoing drama with Ella and then invites her out.
Darren talks to Charlie on the phone and is left gravely concerned by the conversation they have. Tony drives Darren to the beach where Charlie is so that they can rescue him. Warren's furious to discover that Ella and Norma have done a DNA test behind his back and tells Ella that if she is his daughter, she's nothing more than a mistake. Ella opens the envelope and the test results confirm that Warren is her father. Charlie fights the waves as he makes his way into the freezing sea. Tony and Darren arrive at the beach and rush into the sea to retrieve the young lad.Cast
