Synopsis
It's the day of Hollyoaks High School's 2023 prom, but will all go without a hitch? Rayne decides to visit Peri, wanting to sort things out once and for all.Plot
Charlie admits to Darren he slept with Ella before insisting he's back on track with Shing Lin. Darren isn't convinced and advises Charlie to sort things out before someone gets hurt. Rayne convinces Romeo an admin error at the hospital resulted in her not appearing on the system. Charlie arranges to meet Ella at school. Scott worries Vicky might not handle prom with DeMarcus, but she just wants one final, amazing night with her ex before he leaves. Charlie tells Ella they shouldn't have slept together. A horrified Shing Lin overhears and both she and Ella lay into Charlie.
Shing Lin admits to Ella she bought her the dress for prom before walking off, heartbroken. Donna-Marie can't understand why Rayne's being so kind to her. Peri has a meeting at the hospital to try and get her job back. Romeo tells Donna-Marie that Peri still thinks that Rayne lied about the lump. Rayne suggests to Peri she sees a professional and Romeo sends her away from Donna-Marie's bedside. Freya Calder returns for prom and tells Mason she'll be studying her A-Levels at the school too. Shing Lin struggles to comprehend recent events.
A supportive Darren suggests to Charlie they go home and figure things out, but Charlie's insistent on playing with the band and showing Shing Lin he's going to fight for her. Ella consumes the gin she has in her bag and stumbles around the village. Freya takes the ballot box for prom king and queen, planning to manipulate the results so that DeMarcus and Vicky win. Charlie, Dillon and Shing Lin perform to the prom partygoers, but Shing Lin soon finds herself running off-stage. Charlie's anxiety overwhelms him. A drunken Ella collapses in Warren's arms outside the garage.Cast
