Synopsis
With the women locked inside the armoured van and armed police on their way, Grace makes a huge decision. Maxine accidentally causes Joel to cancel his date with Leela when she asks him to take Sam out for a drink to cheer him up.Plot
Grace goes ballistic at Cindy. Joel agrees to move back into 2 Oakdale Drive and wants to take things to the next level with Leela, suggesting a first date in the evening. John Paul and Sally find Damon inside the hearse on their way home from shopping and question him. Once he's managed to get rid of them, he learns from Zara via a walkie-talkie that the women are trapped inside the van. Maxine asks Joel if he'll have a pint with Sam. He reluctantly agrees to go.
Cindy's calm and uncaring about the situation she and the women are in. Grace sends Damon on his way as there's nothing he can do to help them. The truck driver comes round and calls in that an armed robbery is underway. D.S. Banks and armed officers prepare themselves. Leela tells Donna-Marie that she and Joel are exclusive. Joel does a rain check on his and Leela's date. Zara realises Grace knew that Cindy wasn't taking her medication. Upon bumping into Maxine, an understanding Leela finds out why Joel's had to stand her up.
Damon opens up to Sally that he's in trouble. She thinks he can use what's going on in his life as an opportunity for a reset elsewhere. Grace thinks she has evil and darkness running through her veins as she's Fraser's daughter, and asks Cindy and Zara to listen to her carefully. Sam finds out from Vicky that Maxine's seeing Zoe about a hospital appointment that Zoe has tomorrow afternoon. Armed police descend on the van and Grace emerges having tied and gagged Cindy and Zara, taking full responsibility for the heist.Cast
