Synopsis
John Paul makes a decision on Matthew-Jesus's future. Dave decides to re-propose to Honour. Beau helps Tony gain some positive publicity for The Dog in the Pond, whilst Felix gives up on Mercedes.Plot
John Paul is insistent that Matthew-Jesus is staying with him. Honour refuses to listen to Maxine, so Maxine tells Dave about her plan to help. Felix tries to fix the damage Mercedes has done to the car. Sally and Mercedes try to convince John Paul to let Matthew-Jesus go to Alicante. Warren tries to convince Felix to steer clear of Mercedes. Matthew-Jesus is appreciative when John Paul reveals that he has changed his mind. Dave thinks Maxine's idea of making a post to advertise Honour's services in the village could help her build up a client base. He gets another idea when he finds Ste's wedding mood-board.
Diane tells Beau that she is giving up their private classes. Beau shows Tony the front cover of The Chester Herald: The Dog in the Pond's 'Romeo and Juliet' night has received a four star review! He takes Beau out to celebrate. Sally takes Matthew-Jesus to the airport as John Paul can't face it. Matthew-Jesus gives him a gift to only open when John Paul misses him. Honour is upset as Maxine's ad is getting abuse, and tells Dave as they meet at the bazaar. Dave wants to ask her a question but she runs off to get the ad removed.
Mercedes is furious when Felix tells her to her face that he is through with her. Tony brags to Damon about his review, but Damon reveals that a food critic for Hollyoaks Food Review - which has more followers than the Herald has readers, has given The Love Boat five stars. Warren wants to take Felix out "on the pull". Dave asks Honour to marry him again in a legal ceremony, complete with a ring. Lizzie asks what Dave means. Beau pays £50 for a five star review for The Dog, and discovers Damon also bought his review.
Sally reconciles Mercedes and John Paul, and unknowingly pushes Mercedes to make amends with Felix. Honour wants to talk to Dave in private about what's happened, but he gives a speech in front of the family. As they wait for an answer, Honour makes clear that she was always going to say "yes". However, her face drops as they embrace. Mercedes encounters Felix and they argue. As he demands that she walks away, she kisses him. John Paul opens Matthew-Jesus's envelope: it's a superhero drawing of John Paul.Cast
