Synopsis
Charlie struggles to keep his composure as he's questioned by D.I. Cohen about the events of the camping trip. Norma underwhelms Warren with her payback plan for Grace. Vicky's mother heads to the hospital to be by her daughter's bedside, and she blames Scott for what's happened.Plot
Norma prepares to tie up loose ends, starting with Grace. D.I. Cohen has questions for Charlie over Vicky. Vicky's distressed mother, Caitlin, bursts into Vicky's side room at the hospital. Charlie struggles to focus on D.I. Cohen. Caitlin's furious to find out that Scott didn't know where Vicky was and claims he's not fit to be a foster parent. A defensive Maxine sticks up for Scott but is sent on her way. Caitlin makes sure that Scott knows that if Vicky dies, the blame is on him. Norma tells Joel she's moving back to her house to get rid of him, so that she and Warren can focus on sorting out Grace. Leah advises Charlie to keep his mouth shut about what happened on the camping trip as there's no evidence they did anything wrong.
Vicky comes round at the hospital. Warren locks Grace in at the flat and believes Norma's going to kill her. He's shocked when Norma produces a new contract for Grace with renegotiated terms, entitling Norma to all of the club. Caitlin lists how Vicky's been involved in the death of a copper and started taking drugs since she's been in Scott's care and vows to make sure Scott never gets to foster a child again. DeMarcus is thrilled that Vicky's awake. Vicky is certain she didn't take any pills; the last she remembers is that she was with Charlie and Leah. Scott doesn't think he's cut out to be a foster parent. Warren thinks Norma's been too soft on Grace. He wants payback and vows to get it himself if she won't give it to him.
Nancy walks Charlie home with her. DeMarcus visits Charlie, wanting to know what happened at the campsite. Charlie grows visibly nervous when DeMarcus reveals that Vicky knows she didn't take any pills willingly. Charlie earns himself a shove against the fridge from DeMarcus when he suggests that Vicky is like her drug-addicted mother. Caitlin admits to Vicky that seeing her in hospital has knocked her for six. She thinks they should put the brakes on them moving back in together. A flashback reveals that Xavier offered Charlie and Leah pills whilst Vicky and Rocco weren't in the tent. The pair agreed to split the drug and Leah dropped her pill into her drink, which Vicky then drank when she returned to the tent.Cast
