Synopsis
Eric drifts closer to the dark side as he snaps at several of the other villagers. Shaq struggles to move forward from Verity, whilst financial problems push John Paul towards another relapse.Plot
Eric finds flowers laying outside Dee Valley Law. Shaq changes his mind about sleeping with Peri. Matthew-Jesus enjoys his Christmas present, unaware it's actually from Chloe. Peri comforts Shaq as he admits that he felt strange kissing someone not Verity. John Paul backs out of telling Matthew-Jesus the truth. Eric crosses Darren and surprises Beau when he talks about Jesus being illegitimate and then asks if Morgan is really his daughter. Nancy tells Eric about Becca, but he makes things awkward by calling Becca a paedophile.
Diane explodes at Eric and he storms off. James tries to convince Juliet to tell Peri and Nadira the truth. Warren asks Sienna for another chance. Eric is furious to learn that Peri and Shaq have been together. He tells Shaq that the only good thing to come from Verity's death is her being free from Shaq, resulting in Shaq punching him. Matthew-Jesus confronts John Paul after receiving a call from Chloe. John Paul is left tempted by the bottles of mulled wine.
Tony and Beau separate Shaq and Eric. Tony also snaps at Shaq. Sienna has decided to bring the twins around to see Warren later. He and Norma toast to 2023. Tony apologises to Shaq. Shaq opens Verity's present: it's a watch with a note reading "when the time is right, the answer will be yes". Juliet tries to tell Peri the truth but Peri snaps at her. Nadira is annoyed to learn that Peri and Shaq kissed, resulting in another argument. As they fight, Juliet reveals that she lied because she has cancer.
Beau leaves Eric's gift from Verity at the door for him: it's a diary. Eric makes an anonymous video, referencing Shaq, Peri and Nancy, asking "what if one day soon, their time was up?" An intoxicated John Paul lays barely conscious on the floor of Price Slice.Cast
