Synopsis
Making her way home after being kicked out of the club in Liverpool, Maxine faces serious danger...Plot
Zoe interviews Maxine over the attack. A drunken Maxine leaves the club after being evicted. A taxi driver refuses to drive her as she has no money on her. Another drunk woman - Lisa - offers Maxine her phone, but she cannot remember any numbers. Lisa's friend Sarah offers to let them ride in their taxi to the bus stop, but she turns them down. Maxine is harassed by two guys as she walks down a street. Verity and Theresa think that Maxine is with the bartender as they get into a taxi.
Eric disapproves of Theresa and Verity's choice in clothing as she posts to her social media. Maxine wonders whether to walk down a short dark path, or a longer well-lit route. Romeo encounters a group of hens whilst walking to the bus stop. As they board a bus, Maxine misses it by seconds. The next bus arrives and the driver, worried about how cold she looks, lets her aboard for no charge. She decides to go to the top floor when she finds a group of boys fighting. She is left uncomfortable when a man sits behind her, and is insulted by him when she moves.
Getting off in Chester, Maxine does not notice that she is being followed. Verity still can't get ahold of Maxine and Theresa is annoyed to find lipstick on Romeo's face. Verity is concerned when a bartender tells her that Maxine is not at the club. Maxine realises that she is being followed as she walks along the City Wall. The attacker catches her and they struggle. She hits him with her heels and sprints off. Finally returning home, Maxine runs a bath but finds Minnie's clothes and decides to go to the police station to report the attack. She undergoes a medical examination.
Zoe is surprised when she learns an assault victim has asked to speak with her and is stunned when it turns out to be Maxine. After the interview, Maxine thinks that she could prevented the attack by being more careful, but Zoe says that the blame lies solely with the attackers - nothing would have made a difference. She receives a call - an arrest has already been made. Zoe makes Maxine realise that she wouldn't blame someone else in her situation. In the reception, Verity, Theresa and Zoe comfort Maxine.Cast
