Synopsis
Goldie issues Mercedes with an ultimatum after Silas's revelation. Warren swears revenge on Norma as they are both treated in hospital. Verity discusses her future with Shaq, whilst Ethan resorts to blackmailing Dave.Plot
Bobby steps out of The Cage and looks at the devastation across the village. Norma is rushed into surgery, and Joel is left horrified by the state Warren is in. Mercedes wakes in a prison cell, having told Bobby to run from The Folly the night before. Doctor Slavin tells Joel that Warren has a serious head injury from a fall, and asks him to wait in the family room. Goldie puts on a calm front for Bobby. D.I. Cohen questions Mercedes. Mercedes lies about what happened, lying that she pushed Silas onto the chess board after he tried to strangle her. She explodes at D.I. Cohen, pointing out who he has hurt and killed: including Lexi.
Misbah asks Verity about her kiss with Shaq. Shaq walks in and says that he loves Verity, but wonders where to go from there. D.I. Cohen releases Mercedes without charge, but informs her that his hat and notepad he was seen with on CCTV were not with his body. There was also bruising to the back of his head, but D.I. Cohen is still unsatisfied with her response. Warren awakens in hospital. He struggles out of bed.
Mercedes is cold towards Bobby, wanting to speak to him about what he did to Silas. She cannot comprehend that her child just murdered an old man. Goldie walks in as they argue over Sylver. Mercedes tries to talk Goldie down. Goldie says that Mercedes ruined Sylver's life, Bobby took it, and she'll make them pay. James wakes, still trapped in the wall. Dave confronts Ethan over Maya's death. Ethan blackmails Dave so Dave doesn't make him go to the police. Shaq proposes to a shocked Verity. She rejects. Goldie threatens to tell everyone - including the police - unless Mercedes and Bobby leave the village. Verity wants to take their relationship steady. Warren asks Misbah about Norma. Misbah says that only relatives can visit her and takes him back to bed.
Bobby looks through Silas's scrapbook of his victims' rings: India Longford, Rae Wilson, Lindsey Butterfield, Sophie Preston, Kath O'Reilly and Abi Robinson. On his page about 'removing' the McQueens and 'saving' Bobby, Bobby removes his face and puts Mercedes's by "must be saved". Mercedes enters and tells Bobby that they need to leave. Warren sneaks into Norma's room. He says that he wants Norma dead for messing up his life, but will wait for her to regain consciousness to get answers. James begins to give up hope. Goldie finds a letter from Mercedes and Bobby. Mercedes and Bobby get into a taxi and leave the village. Warren arrives at the garage, where Godfrey sneaks behind him and knocks him unconscious.Cast
