Mercedes tries to find an escape. Goldie and Theresa shout for help, but the crowd at the carnival can't hear them. James lays in a coffin in the City Wall. John Paul sits on the floor with the wine bottle. The Chen-Williams family play a board game together. Mercedes finds an exit. Goldie and Theresa try to find an escape. Silas catches up to Mercedes as she is cornered. Verity challenges Shaq to race her to the top of the climbing wall. Goldie and Theresa argue over who to pick to die. Silas forces Mercedes to watch. Warren listens to an angry voicemail from Norma. Dave learns that the family are playing Snakes & Ladders to determine who has to stay at home with him. D.S. Amaral tells Norma that James is finished. She finds Godfrey missing from the hearse, and turns around to find a man with a clown mask.
James shouts for help in the coffin. He manages to break it open. Verity and Shaq banter as they climb the wall. Goldie and Theresa argue. Bobby thinks that Silas's plan is his fault. Prince sees what's happening with the escape room on the TV and heads over. Theresa decides to pick Goldie to live. Goldie flees from the escape room. Lexi spots a bomb attached to the fountain in the Jubilee Gardens. Theresa hides in the costumes box. Silas detonates the bomb under the escape room and Lexi pulls several carnival-goers to the floor. The escape room bursts into a ball of flame, alterting the Chen-Williamses and throwing James out of the coffin. Silas then detonates the fountain. Verity and Shaq panic: the roof of the escape room lays burning beneath them.
Warren takes D.S. Amaral and Godfrey captive, demanding to know where Norma is. James's phone battery runs out and the roof starts to cave in, blocking the door. Lexi manages to rescue Goldie and Prince. Shaq has injured his shoulder from being thrown across the wall in the blast. He and Verity realise that they need to climb to the top. Ethan refuses to let anyone but Sam leave the flat. Lexi goes to get Bobby from the house, but someone has snuck in. She searches for him. Goldie enters as Lexi comes face-to-face with Silas. Lexi tries to arrest Silas. Silas strikes Lexi with the torch. Pieces of the wall begin to fall off as Shaq and Verity climb. Theresa manages to get out of the escape room. A clown face lights up and Theresa realises that Silas is at The Folly. Warren spies on Norma from the top platform of a warehouse.
Theresa and John Paul find Silas, Goldie, Mercedes and Olivia standing on a chess board in The Folly. Mercedes tells John Paul that some of the tiles are modified to deliver an electric shock. Olivia and Mercedes argue. Silas ends the argument by revealing to Olivia that Prince was seriously injured in the blast. Silas tells them the rules of the game: he'll have Bobby either way, but if they beat him, they will win. Bobby sees what Silas has done to his family on the tablet. Verity and Shaq make it to the top of the bazaar. They begin to get along again. Honour tries to calm Ethan. Verity doesn't know if she can trust Shaq again. Shaq tells her that she's a perfectionist; she retorts by calling him a demolition-ist. Tom spots the bottom of the bazaar catch alight, by petrol and gas canisters. He screams for Zoe to get back, but they are thrown by the building exploding. Shaq is thrown from the roof. The explosion leaves Ethan even more panicked.
Verity's rope comes undone as she tries to pull Shaq back up. Shaq undoes his rope to save Verity, just as Diane, Tom and other carnival-goers catch him in a banner. Sam tries to get ahold of Zoe, who is at the flat with Dave and Honour waiting for him. Warren confronts Norma. He holds her over the edge. Mercedes tells the McQueens where to stand. Silas tells Goldie that Bobby filmed Sylver's death. Mercedes notices the chessboard lose power and she steps towards Silas, knocking him to the floor with a punch. Norma confuses Warren by talking about his eyes. She says that his father had brown eyes, which he should have inherited instead of her eyes. He is left dumbfounded by her revelation. Warren tells Norma that his parents were 'Bill and Tracy Fox', who died in a car crash. She reveals that she knew Cormac Ranger.
Bobby tells Mercedes that he wants to go with Silas. Warren demands to know everything from Norma. Zoe tells Dave that Ethan killed Maya. Silas tells Mercedes that Bobby left Sylver to die on purpose. She is horrified when he confirms it. Bobby begins to switch to Mercedes's side as she and Silas argue. Norma tells Warren that she had to send him to the orphanage to protect him from her life. Bobby is forced to choose between Mercedes and Silas. He chooses Mercedes. He lunges for Mercedes, who throws him against the stairs. D.S. Amaral grabs Warren, causing him to fight with both her and Norma. He and Norma fall from the balcony. Bobby and Mercedes leave The Folly. D.S. Amaral calls for an ambulance as Norma and Warren lay unconscious on the piles of boxes below.Cast
