Synopsis
The true circumstances behind Saul's death are revealed. DeMarcus worries that he could go to prison for murder. Misbah is asked to speak by the hospital committee about Ali's misconduct. Dave helps Mason with his romance troubles.Plot
Felix informs DeMarcus of Saul's death. A vigil in the park is set up for Saul. Zoe and Sid worry about Grace. DeMarcus worries that he will go to prison for murder. Grace refuses to let Ripley change their plans to go travelling. Cindy visits Grace, who claims to be coping. Misbah is furious to find Shaq holding the letter from the hospital collective (wanting her to speak at hospitals about misconduct) that she had thrown in the bin. She angrily storms off to see Grace. DeMarcus feels uncomfortable as he walks through the village.
Charlie tells him that he has been questioned by the police and is stunned to learn of Saul's death. Verity reveals that Felix hired her to defend DeMarcus and wants to start working immediately. Grace explodes when Misbah and Cindy encourage her to grieve. Dave and Ethan are confused when Mason snaps at them. Dave thinks that Mason should have gone to him for advice instead. Felix grows frustrated as DeMarcus continues to withhold information. Verity tells Felix that if DeMarcus is charged, the court case will be brutal.
Someone hides the knife in a shoebox under their bed. Dave advises Mason to get to know Ella, and use what he finds out to his advantage. Grace prepares to get rid of Saul's things. Misbah and Cindy try to stop her, so she kicks them out. Sid texts her to tell her to check her emails. Mason decides to join a forum site about dating advice. Eric, who is also part of the site, makes a post. Misbah is touched when Zain, Shaq and Nadira promise to support her regardless of her decision. Misbah realises that she tried to bury her feelings on Ali through seeing Grace's reaction to Saul's death.
Grace watches the video sent by Sid: the one of Saul planning his proposal. She imagines herself on the jetty over the pond, being proposed to directly by Saul. Watching the video, she bursts into tears. Joseph watches the video of DeMarcus and recalls the events leading to Saul's stabbing: a tipsy Joseph found the ring and hid under the playground as DeMarcus gave him the knife. After DeMarcus left, Saul caught Joseph videoing them and confronted him. Joseph pushed him over, causing the knife to fall out. As Saul attempted to arrest Joseph, Joseph grabbed the knife and stabbed Saul. Taking the knife, Joseph quickly fled, leaving Saul to die.Cast
