Synopsis
The hospital board make a decision on Ali at the tribunal. Ollie decides to take over the plans for Luke's funeral. Bobby realises Mercedes's plan.Plot
The Maaliks prepare for the tribunal. Mercedes tells Theresa and Goldie about the card. Cindy struggles to write her eulogy for Luke's funeral. Shaq is forced to show Misbah the social media comments accusing her of being a liar, fuelling her desperation to get justice this time around. Theresa gives Mercedes some advice about how to keep Silas from winning over Bobby. Misbah arrives at the meeting room, only to find Ali smoozing panel chairman Nigel Portland. Cindy tells Tom and Ollie that she can't do the eulogy and doesn't want to go to the funeral.
The tribunal begins with Peri's testimony. Ali talks down about Peri, accusing her of wanting to be better than Cleo. Ollie asks Jack for advice. Jack tries to help him write the eulogy. Ali slips up during his testimony: Nigel overlooks it, but Dawn is left visibly concerned. Ali accuses Peri of taking advantage of him, and - through crocodile tears - lies that Peri threatened to make a false rape allegation if he didn't comply. Bobby is pleased when Mercedes wants to play chess with him.
Cindy is amazed to learn that Ollie has written the eulogy. It brings her to tears and she decides to go to the funeral after all. A panicked Ollie tells Tom that Scarlett will be attending the funeral. Misbah is asked for her testimony: she presents a recording of the surgery (taken for educational purposes). Misbah disproves Ali's accusations against Peri, and talks about how Ali raping her has affected her and her family. Ali explodes, but Dawn and Nigel interrupt to order him to leave.
Bobby is furious when he realises that Mercedes wasn't interested in getting to learn his interests, only to check if he was still communicating with Silas. As security struggle to evict Ali, Nigel tells Misbah that the police have been called and that she won't be seeing Ali again. Ali antagonises Yasmine and asks Misbah if she's raising Yasmine to be like her, "a lying bitch". Misbah floors him with a punch as the police arrive. As Misbah walks to the police car, Ali is physically restrained. Verity has managed to get Misbah released and she arrives at The Dog in the Pond to find her family wearing shirts reading "I am Misbah Maalik".Cast
