Synopsis
Zara is left stunned by a blast from the past during the debate. Joel has an identity crisis as Warren pushes to prove himself. Ethan struggles to stand back as the Chen-Williams family slowly falls apart, whilst Pearl decides to get Zoe a social life.Plot
Warren receives a confirmation about his involvement in the fight league. Dave is concerned to see Serena getting back into training so soon after getting out of hospital. Zara tears up one of Tony's promotional posters and places one of hers on top. Joel is suspicious of Warren, who quickly changes the subject. He also lies to Maxine about the fight league. Tony and Zara practice for the debate with help from Imran and Ollie. Cleo, Martine, Felix and Damon find that Joel has set up a vigil in the park for the recently deceased. Martine, Felix and Damon are unhappy with the idea whilst Cleo is concerned about Joel.
Serena thinks that she is to blame for the problems the family have had since moving to Hollyoaks and storms off upset. Ollie tries to help Theresa sort out the livestream for the debate and he decides to moderate when Jack cancels. Zara is alarmed to encounter a man, who has unfinished business with Zara. Pearl wants Zoe to get into the community to make friends, and comes up with a plan. Joel prepares to make a confession to Cleo, but quickly backs out. Cleo thinks that if she hadn't given Toby a chance, she'd be marrying Joel again. They end up sharing a kiss.
Maxine is concerned to find Warren not resting. She also finds a notification for the Dee Valley Fight League on his phone and urges him to think about the people who need him. Joel rejects Cleo and quickly leaves, leaving her upset. The debate begins, with Zara receiving a more favourable reaction from the audience. She is alarmed when she spots the man amongst them, and he tells Imran how to take Zara down a peg. Ethan is desperate to get revenge on Sam's attacker. Warren and Felix argue over Joel's vigil.
Zara attempts to paint Tony as selfish and herself as more caring, so Imran passes on to Tony that Zara left her friends to be arrested at a protest in Thailand. Pearl has arranged a friend-date for Zoe with Cleo, Theresa and Verity. Lizzie tries to comfort Serena, who feels that her dream is slipping away. Warren decides to cancel his fight league. He is attacked by a masked attacker, who he ends up overpowering. Zara rejects a phone call before coming face-to-face with Lisa Hunter. She and her boyfriend wanted to get her attention: they have an offer for Zara. Warren takes off his attacker's balaclava and finds that it's Ethan.Cast
