Synopsis
Lizzie and Sid's relationship is left in jeopardy when Sam learns from Clara - and reveals to the family - that Sid used to deal drugs. Cindy is left upset as she realises that Luke is rapidly deteriorating. Tony and Zara go head-to-head for the new councillor position, whilst Ste is put out when Ethan and Leela reconcile.Plot
Sid is uncomfortable as Clara shoots a look at him whilst standing next to Lizzie. Ste gets emotional as he looks over family photos. Cindy tries on a wedding tiara. She is horrified to realise that Brooke has taken her wedding dress to Sweater Thunberg. Sid refuses to sell to Clara. Clara blackmails him. Leela is annoyed when Ste refuses to cancel Ethan's job to help her. Cindy is infuriated to find Goldie with her dress and bursts into tears when Goldie reveals that she has already bought it. Juliet tells Sid to call Clara's bluff: she has more to lose than him. She isn't his problem and he needs to put himself first.
Zara discovers in The Chester Herald that local councillor Tom Whitworth has died. Tony is intrigued to learn that there is a space on the council. He decides to make Imran his right-hand man, whilst Zara thinks that Ollie should apply. Sid gives Clara a drugs helpline card and tells her that he plans to tell Lizzie about his past himself. Sam overhears and confronts Clara once Sid has left. Ste is cold towards Sienna and the pair argue. Ethan arrives and he and Ste argue over Leela. Sid prepares to talk to Lizzie, but Sam bursts in and reveals that Sid is a drug dealer. Cindy confronts Goldie, armed with a fire extinguisher. Luke finds them fighting over the dress and snatches it from Goldie, but in his attempt to throw it to Cindy, it lands in the pond.
Lizzie isn't sure what to do when Sid reveals that he was groomed into county lines drug dealing, but Sam encourages her to break up with him. Lizzie goes upstairs and Dave asks Sid to leave. Ethan gives Leela flowers and tells her that he should have made more of an effort with her. He also tells her that he will let Ste and Sienna prioritise helping her with cleaning jobs. Juliet messages James's University friends, but they have not seen him. She tries to comfort Sid, who fears always being judged for his past. Ste is amused by Tony already planning an election rally. Leela is annoyed by Ste expressing his dislike for Ethan. She asks Sienna for her opinion, but gets the wrong idea when Sienna sarcastically states that Ethan changed her life.
Ollie tells Zara that she would be the perfect candidate to rival Tony, so she decides to take his advice. Serena tells Ethan about Sid before meeting with Clara. Clara lies that Sid approached her. Tony comforts Cindy as he tries to save her dress. They realise how rapidly Luke's condition is deteriorating and Tony thinks that the wedding should be brought forward. Sid and Juliet find Serena clutching her chest and struggling to breathe. Clara reveals that Serena drank from her water bottle, which had amphetamines in it. Sid tells Juliet to call an ambulance, refusing to confirm or deny whether he gave Clara drugs.Cast
