Synopsis
James hits rock bottom when Donna-Marie, Romeo and Juliet learn that he stole and gambled the inheritance money. Charlie blames Ella for her miscarriage. Verity is hurt once more by Shaq. Peri signs Misbah up to a dating app.Plot
James is mortified to read that cryptocurrency has taken a nosedive overnight. Charlie's unaware of what's happened to Ella. Ali sends Shaq a letter, wanting to see him in prison. Intending to open a bakery, Donna-Marie gets cooking brownies. James is left with just £19.19 of the £50,000 he deposited to his cryptocurrency wallet. Nancy breaks the news to Charlie that Ella's miscarried. She encourages Charlie to support Ella, but he blames Ella for the miscarriage. Shaq hides from Verity when she wants to talk to him.
James claims that Verity is having a problem with her password when Donna-Marie questions him on why she hasn't received Marnie's inheritance money yet. Ste refuses to give James his wallet back. Peri has an idea to get Misbah back on the dating scene. Romeo and Juliet are suspicious of Donna-Marie when she tells them that their inheritance money is delayed because of Verity. They think she's stolen it, until they come across Verity, who reveals the money was transferred to James's bank account. James attempts to explain his actions but his nearest and dearest are disgusted by him.
Charlie ends his relationship with Ella. Shaq speaks with Verity. He wants to draw a line under them as he fears he'll hurt her again. Verity's hurt by his comments. Romeo and Juliet apologise to Donna-Marie for doubting her. Peri signs Misbah up to a dating app. Misbah has three matches almost immediately. One of the matches want to meet with Misbah tomorrow. Nancy, Ella and Cindy plant a memorial tree. James sneaks into 2 Oakdale Drive and reclaims his wallet before throwing his phone out of his car and driving off. Ste only notices what James has done when it is too late and is annoyed. Charlie's bitter when he overhears Nancy calling him a "stupid boy" to Ella for not supporting her like he should. That evening, he trashes the memorial tree in spite.Cast
