Synopsis
Maxine is thrown by not one but two revelations on New Year's Eve. Felix throws Martine a surprise party. A livid Ollie decides he will move in with Becky in the New Year.Plot
Maxine's optimistic for a secret and drama-free 2022. Ollie's released from custody, having been charged with criminal damage. He blames Cindy. Mercedes plans to celebrate the New Year with Nana in hospital. Trish attempts to sell her dance dresses to Zara but is only offered a tenner for the lot. Whilst her back is turned, Trish receives a text from Mitzeee about her moving to LA. Maxine sees the message and is shocked. Mercedes evades phone calls from Sylver. Nana hooks on and asks her why. Maxine learns that Trish is leaving in two days time and is upset. She has a plan to keep her in the village, and asks Dave if he'll be attending the New Year's party at the pub.
Felix plans to throw Martine a surprise New Year's party. Trish is unhappy to see Dave at the pub's New Year's party and demands he stays away from her family. Maxine realises the pair know each other and wants to know everything. Nana and Mercedes and John Paul and Sylver discuss how the trip to Alicante really went. Cindy tries to help Ollie understand that Becky is filling his head with poison and Luke really is dying. Ollie takes Cindy's intervention badly and announces he'll be moving in with Becky in the New Year. Trish admits to Maxine that she and Dave were lovers years ago, but Dave was married at the time. Maxine gives Trish her blessing to head to LA but on the condition they don't become strangers again. The pair are then surprised when Dave and Honour show up at the pub. Maxine wants to tell Honour everything but is stopped by Trish.
DeMarcus, Toby and Celeste are caught out by Martine whilst trying to plan the surprise party for her. Nana gives Mercedes a serious talking as various residents of Hollyoaks see in the New Year together. Felix has one more surprise for Martine: a firework display. She's warmed by his kind gesture. Mercedes decides she's going to do all she can to save her marriage with Sylver, unaware of what he's planning to tell her. Maxine and Trish bump into Dave and Honour in the car park. The urge to expose Dave overcomes Maxine once more and she heads towards the love-cheat to tell Honour everything, but Trish intercepts her and reveals that Dave is her father.Cast
