Synopsis
The Maalik's rally around Misbah following her revelation. James is let off the hook thanks to Verity's intervention, but his freedom comes at a cost. Nancy is promoted to co-deputy head alongside John Paul.Plot
Yasmine continues to support Misbah as she opens up further about her ordeal. Misbah explains that she didn't say "no" to Ali, but Yasmine reminds her that that does not mean she consented. Ali attempts to smooth the waters with Shaq, but Shaq is unforgiving. Sami finds Shaq before he is able to harm Ali and sends Ali on his way. Having spent the night in a cell to sober off, James is spoken to by D.S. Cohen the next day.
Nancy gets the wrong end of the stick when she overhears Sally on the phone planning to discuss a restructure of the English department with her, and so heads to confront her. Nate suggests to Ripley that they join forces with their businesses to strengthen both their stalls and also help the environment. Ripley agrees to the idea. Nancy challenges Sally over her "restructure" and learns that she's being promoted to co-deputy head alongside John Paul. Shaq and Misbah are reunited. Sami wants to take legal action against Ali, but Yasmine reminds him that it's up to Misbah.
James is released thanks to Verity, who has persuaded Clarke to drop the charges against him. However, it comes at a cost for James, as Clarke threatens to blackmail Dee Valley Law if she and Sami don't buy James out. Ripley reassures Brooke that they do not have to say "I love you" back until they feel ready. Ali meets with Cleo at the park and asks her if they can meet offsite from now on to work on his research. There's a pregnancy test hidden in the bin at the Osborne's house. Misbah decides she must press charges against Ali when she talks with Cleo and realises that Cleo could be his next victim.Cast
