Synopsis
Walter's birthday party proves to be a dramatic day. Ripley and Brooke find themselves on not one but three dates. Goldie thinks Prince is trying to be someone he isn't to impress Olivia.Plot
Felix texts Celeste from Walter's birthday party location. He's ready to win her back. Martine receives a text from the hospital regarding her recent MRI scans. Ripley returns from visiting family and messages Brooke, who has missed them. Upon returning home, Ripley finds a shirtless Nate and they are introduced to each other. Prince reveals he's vegan to Goldie. She feels like he's changed and is ashamed of being a McQueen. Martine and Sharon are reunited at the birthday venue, as is Walter with Pearl Anderson, Sharon's mother. Sharon wants to act as the matchmaker for Pearl and Walter. Felix shows himself to Martine, who is unhappy to see him.
Goldie's sickened to learn that Olivia won't just be taking the McQueen surname, but instead, alongside Prince, will become Bradshaw-McQueen. Prince begs the pair to get along, but has little success. Martine wants to know why Felix left her, but he won't say why. Ripley's taken aback to find Nate setting up a stall in their workspace. Brooke thinks he's mistaken the numbering for the pitch. Nate makes a remark on the pair's friendship appearing to be something more. Brooke state they're friends, but is left reflective when Ripley notices how quick they were to state that they're "friends" in front of Nate. Olivia catches Prince preparing to eat a meat burger. Prince opens up to her about how he's changed himself to fit her likes. Walter allows Felix to stay for his party and they play dominoes together. Felix wins three games. The mood is altered when DeMarcus Westwood makes an unexpected appearance, revealing that he's tracked Felix down using a phone tracking app.
Toby is unhappy with DeMarcus showing up. Martine sticks up for Walter when he makes a jibe at Felix, so Felix reveals that it was Walter who sent him away. Ripley signs up to a dating app. Brooke admits they made a mistake to Ripley and confesses that they want them to be more than friends, but when Ripley goes to kiss them, they reject them, wanting to wait until the third date. Prince opens up to Nate about his women trouble, and once alone, answers his phone to someone. Martine learns that Celeste invited Felix and is hurt. Wanting to be alone, she heads out onto the lake on a boat. Felix follows her out on the water. Toby claims DeMarcus has ruined the day for everyone. Walter defuses the situation. DeMarcus plans to ensure that Felix won't leave again and also heads out onto the water. Brooke gets ready for their first date with Ripley. It's a coffee date. It goes well, and they prepare to head off on their second date: out for a meal.
Felix talks with Martine on the water, making it clear he wants a one more chance. Before Martine can reply, DeMarcus's boat collides with Felix's. The mast hits Felix and he's knocked unconscious and into the water. Martine dives in and brings Felix back to the surface, but he isn't breathing. Prince can't find Olivia. He's upset with Goldie, who defends herself and tries to help Prince understand that Olivia may not be the one. Felix is revived with CPR. Martine's relieved and embraces him. Olivia and Goldie find themselves starting to get along when Olivia allows Goldie to perform a McQueen makeover on her. DeMarcus feels guilty over Felix's accident and apologises. Felix is understanding and asks his son to move to Hollyoaks and live with him. Sharon tells Martine she knows she is wearing a wig and has cancer. Martine explains that she kept it a secret because she wanted the day to be perfect, so Sharon helps her realise that she can't run from all her problems.
Olivia shows off her new McQueen makeover to Prince. Goldie needs a van to get Prince's DJ equipment over to Walter's birthday party. She asks Ripley if they can use their van and take them to the lake. Olivia guilt-trips Ripley, who agrees, taking Brooke with them. Walter opens up to Pearl about how he wishes he'd accepted Wilfred's sexuality and reconciled with him before he died. Pearl encourages Walter to stop living in the past. Martine wants Walter to accept Felix, as she still loves him, so he agrees to accept him. Martine then declares her love to Felix and agrees to one more chance. They kiss in front of the family and guests. Prince then shows up with his DJ equipment and music flows. Ripley and Brooke have their third date at the lake. Felix tells Toby that DeMarcus will be moving in with them. DJ Target shows up at the lakeside, having been contacted by Olivia. Toby and Martine give speeches and the group then dance The Electric Slide. Later, Martine listens to the hospital's voicemail. On the jetty, she tells Felix that her tumour hasn't shrunk enough and she needs to have a mastectomy. At 3 Oakdale Drive, Flat 3, Nate lays out on a table cards with the social media profiles of numerous Hollyoaks residents. He picks up Felix's...Cast
