Synopsis
Cleo's investigation against her is strengthened by an image posted online. Guilt consumes Verity, leading her to take drastic action. Scott helps Grace look for a new roommate.Plot
Verity, feeling guilty, insists to Shaq that Sami can never find out about them. Cleo's investigation gets underway. James is determined to make sure Cleo pays for her mistake. An overwhelmed Misbah heads to work. Verity makes excuses for sleeping with Shaq, but he sees through her denial. She begs him to keep their infidelity to himself. Marnie's adamant she's fine and thinks something is wrong with Misbah. James takes matters into his own hands. Sami encourages Imran to cook a meal with him for Misbah, to help her open up about what's troubling her. He then learns that James is going to sue to Misbah for gross misconduct. Misbah apologises to Marnie for her carelessness. Marnie's understanding and tries to coax out of Misbah what is wrong, but doesn't get anywhere. Marnie intends to discharge herself but Misbah discourages it, so once Marnie's alone, she phones Juliet and asks her to get her out of the hospital.
Scott finds Grace lying aimlessly on the sofa and, upon learning she has a spare room, suggests she finds a roommate. Cleo wants to apologise to Marnie but Ali says she can't until the investigation is over. Marnie slips out the hospital and meets Juliet, where she faints. Juliet seeks help for her. Shaq and Misbah have a heart-to-heart. Juliet and Peri clash over Marnie's discharge. James learns Marnie discharged herself because she wanted him to drop the lawsuit, which he agrees to do. Verity expresses interest in moving out with Sami immediately, but Sami doesn't want them to rush. Shaq interrupts their conversation as Sami heads to get a drink. Theresa is hurt upon seeing Verity with Shaq and makes a remark to Sami.
Misbah refuses to be shaken by Ali's presence and stands up to him over the investigation. Juliet's paranoia over "Jeff" creates hostility between her and Peri. Toby shows Peri a photo of Cleo and Celeste out together and, learning the photo was taken the night before the incident with Marnie, Peri feels she should inform the board of it. Grace settles on meeting Nate Denby after he expresses interest in renting out her spare room online. Sami learns from Theresa that she and Shaq ended things because he preferred someone else. Ali questions Cleo on the affects of binge drinking on the body's function the next day. Once Cleo's listed them all, Ali shows her the photo of her and Celeste from their night out and makes it clear he'll have to take a report of her drinking the night before Marnie's incident seriously. Sami heads home and tells Verity and Shaq he knows everything.Cast
