Synopsis
Misbah struggles to cope by a new arrival to the village. Tony and Diane try to move forward. Juliet tries to prove herself, whilst Cleo's future is left in jeopardy.Plot
Shaq confronts Misbah over her continuous lying. Juliet prepares to break bad news to Marnie. Tony is devastated to find a "for sale" sign outside of The Hutch. Imran wonders how bad the truth was, if Misbah was prepared to say that Kashif was unfaithful. Juliet reveals that she dropped out of sixth form, and wants to work at the Salon de The. Marnie agrees. Noticing a distant Misbah, she offers to comfort her. A man approaches the counter and flirts with Marnie, leaving Misbah petrified. Diane comforts Tony, and promises to look after him.
Marnie slips on Juliet's newly mopped floor, and injures herself. Imran struggles to deal with the revelation. Juliet has called Misbah to help Marnie, followed by the man from earlier. Marnie is alarmed when the man reveals himself to be Ali Shahzad. Diane and Tony brainstorm ideas onto what to do after The Hutch. Misbah becomes distant as she hears Cleo and Peri talk about Ali. She rushes off, leaving Cleo to give painkillers to an angry Marnie. Yazz and Imran present Shaq with a jigsaw puzzle of Imran, Yazz, Misbah, Sami and Shaq. Yazz tells Shaq that he may not know of his true parentage, but he will still be their brother. Shaq is touched, but is cold towards Sami until Sami explains things to him.
Misbah makes clear that she did not want Ali at the hospital, and tells him to leave. Ali reveals that he has accepted the hospital job. Marnie goes into anaphylactic shock and Ali rushes to treat her. Juliet gets upset as she feels incompetent, but Romeo tells her otherwise. Ali tells Misbah and Cleo that Marnie is allergic to opioids, and there will be consequences for Cleo administering medication unsupervised as a student nurse. Shaq vents to Verity. He thinks he has driven a wedge in the Maalik family. Verity comforts him and they end up sleeping together.Cast
