Synopsis
Cindy makes a shock discovery, while Zara makes a heartbreaking one. Charlie meets Ella behind Nancy's back. Sid hides his discomfort from Ste.Plot
Ella wonders why Darren didn't stay with them last night. Shaq walks into a tree whilst eyeing up Verity. Cindy dampens Luke's spirits when she tells him that they need to register before they can get married. Once alone, she receives a text from an unknown number, requesting that she meets the sender of the message in the market. Mandy lectures Ella on how they should be acting in the village. Ella wants to see Darren, so Mandy admits they split up. Ella thinks it is her fault they are no longer together. Nancy offers to head to counselling with Charlie, but he wants to go alone. When he overhears Darren talking about Ella with Nancy, he wants to see her instead, but Nancy insists he attends his counselling session.
Sami has an idea to get Shaq's mind off of Verity. Ollie meets Cindy at the markets. He asks Cindy for money; she refuses to give him any and proceeds to inform him of Sue's passing. She wants Ollie to do the decent thing so demands he phones Luke, else she will. Charlie skips his counselling session to meet Ella, but is caught out by Darren. Luke comes face-to-face with Ollie. Ollie apologises to his father for not being there when Sue died. Luke expresses his heartbreak at knowing he may not have ever seen Ollie again. Zara overhears Luke using the word "terminal" with Ollie and is shocked. Nancy receives a phone call from Charlie's counsellor regarding his absence. Charlie admits he was with Ella. Nancy sends him home; Darren sticks up for Charlie but Nancy fears Ella will have a negative impact on Charlie's recovery.
Zara is heartbroken to learn that Luke has frontotemporal dementia and rushes off. Sami sets Shaq and Theresa up for a lunch date. Zara finds Luke and apologises for walking off. She vows to help him with the wedding. Cindy finds a letter in Sue's box of belongings and takes it before Luke or Zara find it. Ste checks in on Sid when he notices that he's in discomfort after his and Imran's game of assassins. Darren meets Mandy and explains that Charlie is forbidden from seeing Ella. Mandy gets upset, knowing that Charlie is the only one who understands what Ella's been through. Theresa asks Shaq if he's had a serious relationship since he jilted Lucy. Shaq tells Theresa about his crush on someone who was already taken. Cindy asks Zara who Stephen MacGregor is, showing her the letter she found among Sue's belongings. Zara explains that Stephen was a member of Mark Gibbs's gang, and was present on the night Luke was attacked; she cannot understand why Stephen would be in contact with Sue.Cast
