Synopsis

Mercedes returns home, much to Cher's dismay. Trish puts on a front to right her wrongs with Ste. Brooke comes out to Darren when he gets the wrong idea.

Plot

Mercedes returns home. Sylver is thrilled. Trish tells Ste she is back in the Blackpool heats and wants Leah on her dance team. Darren finds Brooke and a shirtless Imran on the sofa. Mercedes is glad she got therapy, but cannot understand how she stole Eva with no recollection of the events. She finds a letter addressed to Sylver, which confirms an appointment for a sperm count check. Ste doesn't want Leah taking part in the Blackpool heats, but changes his mind when Trish claims Leah is the leader. Darren threatens to ring Misbah over Imran and Brooke. Brooke insists they spent the night talking, but Darren doesn't believe them. Imran creates a cock-and-bull story to keep Brooke's secret, but Darren doesn't believe him, so Brooke decides to come clean to Darren about their sexual identity. Darren makes a remark about Brooke and Imran not being a "normal couple", sparking confusion in Brooke's mind.

Peri manages to convince Ste to let Leah partake in the Blackpool heats. Juliet "kills" Romeo in the Assassins game. He jokes that she can make amends by attending his birthday party tomorrow. Donna-Marie overhears and offers to come too, but Romeo doesn't want her there. Juliet encourages Donna-Marie to prove her interest in Romeo by encouraging her to get him something which shows she knows where his interests lie. Trish creates a pet name for Leah whilst alone: "SP", which stands for "Spare Part". Fergus spurs her to carry on with her malicious antics when he tells her that she helps her students reach their potential. He thinks Trish should give Leah some tough love. Mercedes is overwhelmed when she comes face-to-face with the Hutch. Cher thinks Mercedes should sort things with Tony, but Mercedes doesn't feel ready. Sylver agrees with Cher, wanting Mercedes to put the past to rest, but when he mentions the word "baby", Mercedes snaps and insists she no longer wants one with him.

Brooke wonders why Imran didn't bring up the fact they didn't kiss at prom. Imran states Brooke's gender identity does not change the way he feels about them. Brooke feels out-of-place in their relationship with Imran and considers his needs. He reassures Brooke that he just likes being with them. Sylver feels down for bringing up the topic of babies with Mercedes. Cher informs Tony that Mercedes is out of hospital and that she almost came to see him, but got cold feet. Tony thinks he should go and see Mercedes. Cher agrees that he should. Kathleen-Angel practices a dance in the village. Leah records her, but grooves with the phone in her hand at the same time, causing the footage to become shaky. Kathleen-Angel is unhappy with Leah. Once alone with Leah, Trish belittles her by praising Kathleen-Angel, before claiming that other girls blame her for the Blackpool trip being cancelled, and also think that she is feigning her ankle injury to skive. Leah is determined to prove her worth and insists she would dance for Trish if her ankle was better. Trish pressures her into dancing, knowing she could harm herself more.

Donna-Marie buys Romeo an impressive piece of piece of DJ kit from Dodgy Derek for his birthday. She vows to never stop trying with him. He invites her to his birthday party. Donna-Marie is mortified when she looks inside the DJ kit - the contents is not what she was expecting. Mercedes shuts down Sylver's comments on the possibility of them having a child together. He is upset. Tony visits Mercedes at the pub. She wants him to leave her alone but he reassures her that neither he nor Diane blame her for what happened. Brooke asks Ripley if it is possible to love being with someone without having any physical contact. Ripley states it's called "being mates", which prompts Brooke to find Imran and break up with him. However, they are unaware that Imran has heard what they have said. Mercedes turns her phone on and finds a video she took of herself for Sylver when she was drunk. She notices that Eva wasn't in the flat when she was recording herself, and that she passed out because she was drunk, not because she was having a breakdown, so she couldn't have taken Eva.
