Synopsis
In the present day, several villagers are under police interrogation. Meanwhile, in flashbacks to Scott and Mitchell's wedding day, trouble is brewing.Plot
Present day
Scott is questioned over the disappearance of a person at his and Mitchell's wedding.

Tony gets excited as it's Scott's wedding day.
Present day
Toby is also questioned.
A few months ago
Felix, Celeste and Martine get excited as they prepare for the wedding. Toby tells Celeste that today will be "unforgettable".
Present day
Toby tells the police that the one to blame is Walter, not him.
A few months ago
Walter is furious over the wedding, declaring that "it is time".
Present day
Walter tells the police that he was angry, but he didn't think things could go so wrong.
A few months ago
Tony is desperate for Scott to enjoy his wedding. He receives a text from Edward - he has been called in to perform an emergency colectomy so he will be unable to attend the wedding. Diane is concerned by Tony's erratic behaviour. Scott is disappointed to learn that The Hutch has run out of champagne. He wonders what else can go wrong... just as Walter steps out of Price Slice.
Mitchell gifts Toby and Celeste watches, with their birthday engraved on the back. Martine is pleased about her family being back together and getting along. Felix convinces Martine not to go public with their relationship, saying that it might not be a good idea to rub their relationship in Lisa's face. When Mitchell turns his back, Toby takes the watch off. Mitchell panics to learn that Walter knows about the wedding, and Celeste is furious that he is going to ruin Mitchell's big day.
Present day
Diane tells the police that she doesn't know what happened, she has her own problems to deal with.
A few months ago
Diane is horrified when Tony threatens Walter. Walter makes his disapproval of a gay marriage clear. Diane is furious with Tony's behaviour, she bans him from attending the wedding. Tony is angered and storms off. Mitchell is thinking of calling off the wedding as Walter is not attending. Felix visits Lisa and Grace, Felix tries to change her mind about going public. Scott and Mitchell have an argument and Scott storms off, telling Mitchell that he needs to choose between him and Walter. Grace has picked up on Felix trying to keep Lisa quiet. He ends up admitting that he is having an affair with Martine. Grace is shocked, and Felix tries to change her mind about telling Lisa.
Diane and Tony have an argument. Tony calls Edward, Edward worries that Tony's behavioural changes may be permanent. Celeste suggests that Walter was raised in a "cage" too, like Toby. She thinks that he should choose Scott. Grace tells Lisa and Felix that Felix will not be accompanying them to the wedding. Scott thinks that he has been jilted. Lisa tells Felix, in front of Martine, that she plans on taking him to Ibiza. Martine realises that Felix did not end his relationship with Lisa, ultimately making Lisa realise that Felix has been cheating on her with Martine.
Scott prepares to cancel the wedding, but Mitchell interrupts him in time to reveal who he has chosen. Walter watches them leave, and Mitchell walks over. Toby is furious with Celeste for fixing Mitchell. He says that she is dead to him. Mitchell hugs Walter, but Walter does not react. He knows that Walter will come round to the idea eventually. Walter closes the door, and turns the shop sign to ‘closed'. Everyone cheers as Mitchell and Scott leave in the wedding car.Cast

Notes
General
- Hollyoaks returned after going off air in July 2020. This was caused by production being halted by the COVID-19 Pandemic.
- As a result, the scenes set at present day encompass the rules of social distancing - including actors playing family members/roommates.
- The wedding scenes in this episode were filmed before halting production. The police interview scenes were filmed after production resumed - ultimately bringing the timeline back to reflect the transmission date.
