Synopsis
Sid and Juliet are in grave danger when Jordan sends them to the seaside to make a delivery. Kyle is annoyed by his parents' arrival but rushes off when he realises Darren needs his help.Plot
Darren sits in the living room, the curtains mostly closed. There is a knock at the door. A girl rides a bike along the waterfront. Peri is delighted when she receives a parcel. The girl on the bike stops by a group of teenagers. Jordan subtly gives Kyle a bag of weed. Darren is also given a parcel. Peri is delighted with the dress. The person on the bike sells drugs to the teens. Darren goes back to sit on the couch. Kyle looks at the bag in his hands. The girl continues riding on her bike. Jordan gives Juliet a bag, and says that she is the delivery guy today. Kyle returns home to find Nancy and his parents, Carole and Mark, in the kitchen, whom he is not pleased to see. Mark congratulates Kyle on his engagement. Peri shows off her dress to Jordan. Juliet and Jordan like it but Leela thinks that it's too short. Jordan tries to make the task look easy to Juliet and Sid.
Nancy, Kyle, Carole and Mark are awkward with each other. Kyle decides to go clear his head, leaving his phone behind. He misses a call from Darren. Ella tries to joke with Darren before she leaves. Sid and Juliet arrive at Chester North Train Station. Sid tries to calm a nervous Juliet. Sid makes clear that he is annoyed at Juliet inviting Imran and Ollie. Sid gets nervious when he spots two police officers also boarding the train. Juliet subtly tries to see what the police are doing, asking P.C. Fields if she is on the right train and for a selfie to send to Jordan. Jordan is unimpressed with Juliet's message. Leela flirts with Jordan and (jokingly) asks him to take her upstairs if he's serious. Peri and Jordan arrange to go out to lunch together, and whilst Jordan is getting his wallet out, a bag of weed falls from his pocket. Peri is horrified.
Ollie, Imran, Sid and Juliet arrive at a waterfront fairground. Juliet receives a text to go to Elicho House. Juliet subtly tells Sid that they got the call. Sid and Juliet arrive at Elicho House. She warns Sid to brace himself. Sid and Juliet meet the girl, Sasha, and Danny, a dealer. Leela asks Carole and Mark if they have any childhood photos of Kyle. Carole says that they lost a lot of photos in a house fire when Kyle was 15, but refuse to say what happened. Nancy tells Marnie that Carole and Mark are very boring, and asks her for back-up. Nancy is furious to discover that Kyle has been smoking, as he smells of it.
Danny is rude towards Juliet, Sid and Sasha. Danny wants to check the bag of drugs first. Peri thinks that Jordan is an addict but Jordan argues that he's not addicted. Peri tells Jordan of the patients she sees all the time in A&E, having sustained injuries whilst high on drugs; bleeding out from injuries in "turf wars" and kids aged 12–13 as well. Jordan argues that her dress was probably manufactured using slave labour in a third-world country. Jordan argues that everyone who campaigns against drugs are hypocritical, he says that alcohol causes more damage to society. Peri is horrified when Jordan accidentally admits to have dealt drugs before.
Darren takes a bag and leaves the flat. Sasha asks Sid and Juliet questions, and Juliet snaps at her. Sasha brags about the things that she has and Juliet doesn't. Danny gives Juliet the money. Juliet also steals Sasha's phone to teach her a lesson. Sid is horrified. Jordan tells Peri about his upbringing; his mum died of cancer and his father couldn't cope. Jordan was desperate for some form of emotional attachment. An eighteen-year-old boy befriended Jordan, getting him to sell weed, so Jordan did. Jordan lies that he doesn't still deal. Peri comforts him and they kiss. Sid and Juliet argue. Juliet refuses to take the phone back. Sid says that it's done now. Darren wanders the streets and enters a warehouse. He climbs the staircase to the roof. Carole talks about Kyle's "phases". Leela is amused when Mark compares Nancy to Carole. Carole says that when Kyle didn't contact them for six months, they worried he was having an "episode". When everyone is curious about what Carole meant by an "episode", Misbah, talks about a buddist monk named Keith she met on a bus.
Sid says that Juliet can talk to her about her childhood if she needs. Juliet says that she's glad Donna-Marie is out of her life. She thinks Sasha might have had a point about being higher-up in the drugs business. Sid points out that there are better ways to do so. Juliet talks about Peri and her dress, and ends up teeling Sid everything she lies about Peri. Sid asks if Peri has feelings for Juliet, which she denies. Sid says that he wants her to be straight because he loves her, but he knows that she's not. Mandy arrives late and both are confused when Mandy says that Darren was supposed to have turned up already. Kyle worries when he notices 7 missed calls from Darren and races off. Juliet tells Sid about "some girl" she tried to kiss. She got rejected and pretended it was a joke, but was secretly hurt as Juliet liked her. She admits that the feeling is different towards girls than guys. He jokes that he's now officially dumped and Juliet apologises, he comforts her.
Danny and Sasha confront Juliet and Sid with a gang of thugs, saying that they have something of his. Juliet and Sid panic. Darren stands on the roof of the warehouse and stares at the view. Juliet says that Sasha is lying and Danny accuses them of trying to steal his business. He thinks if he lets Juliet get away with what's happened, she will try steal from him again. Sid tries to protect Juliet but Danny says that he will attack both of them, and attacks Sid. Ollie and Imran hear Juliet's screams and notice Sid get attacked, and rush over. Danny pulls a knife when Ollie and Imran interrupt. They threaten to call the police so the gang runs off. Kyle tries to track Darren's phone and traces it to the warehouse. Kyle panics when he sees the door to the warehouse roof open, but is relieved to see Darren sitting on a vent. Darren says that he thinks he was going to do "it". He tells Kyle about feeling anything about DJ's first steps. He says that he feels nothing at all. Kyle tells Darren that he's taking Darren home. Darren says that the thought of his children needing his dad stopped him.
Juliet tries to stop Imran and Ollie from going to the police. Juliet says that she wound them up, and just wants to go home. Nancy vents to Mandy about Kyle and is annoyed to learn that he is having a drink with Darren. Nancy makes clear that she's angry with Kyle. Kyle comforts Darren and admits that he was the suicidal roommate he told Darren about. He says that he was never in rehab, he was sectioned following a suicide attempt. He admits that he has turned to drugs to cope. Darren wants to seek professional help, Kyle says that it didn't work for him but it might for Darren. He asks for Darren to not forget about him, to still talk to him. Sid informs Jordan about what's happened, Sid tells Juliet that Jordan is furious but thinks he can sort things out. Ollie makes clear that he doesn't believe Juliet's excuses but wants to forget about today. They all agree to never mention what happened.
Jordan tries to call Danny but is rejected. Peri notices that he is stressed but Jordan lies to her what it's about. Peri says that she doesn't want Jordan as a boyfriend. She makes Jordan agree to never bring drugs into the house again. Jordan receives a call from Danny. Juliet says that she wants to hold Jordan's money until Jordan allows them to stop dealing. Marnie walks in as Juliet says to Sid that "it's too much, it's too dangerous, I don't want to do it anymore", and confronts them. Sid lies that they were going to get tattoos and Marnie is horrified. Juliet lies that she and Sid became homesick and left early. Out of earshot of Marnie, Sid warns Juliet that Jordan will not like what she is planning to do.
Darren decides to call a doctor first thing in the morning as they return to The Hutch. Darren introduces himself to Carole. Carole is impressed by Darren. Nancy wants to talk to Kyle outside. Darren lies to Mandy that Kyle was the one freaking out and he got him back on time. Mandy forgives Darren. Nancy explodes at Kyle and storms off. Kyle is left upset and bumps into Jordan, asking for something stronger. He tells Kyle to meet him in an hour. Sid says that he will always be a friend for Juliet. She is thankful. Jordan furiously confronts the pair. They say that they're done but Jordan says that they owe him big time, Danny thinks that Jordan is trying to steal his contacts. He scares them into believing that they need protecting from Danny by Jordan. He also makes clear that he's unimpressed with Juliet's selfie. he says that if Juliet co-operates, he can bring her to the top. Marnie finds the bag and opens it up, he is horrified to find a load of cash inside. Jordan says that they cannot make any more mistakes.Cast
