Synopsis
Kyle does his best to help Darren, but does he need help himself? Diane worries about Edward's threat to expose their affair to Tony. Mercedes is petrified of what Liam has planned for her.Plot
Kyle leaves Darren a voice message, asking him to call back. Peri wakes up with her hair a mess, but races back upstairs when she sees Jordan. Diane worries when she sees Tony and Edward having a disagreement. Kyle reveals in the voice message that Kyle lied about his friend having depression - it was actually him. However, he quickly re-records the voice message. Diane is relieved to discover that Tony and Edward's conversation was over Edward not telling Tony about him receiving the Most Influential Surgeon award.
Kyle visits Darren, worried about him. Mandy asks if everything's alright. Mandy is pleased with Darren's "apology"; making her breakfast, booking her into a salon and planning to take her out to a film tonight. Darren invites Kyle to join him and DJ to feed the ducks, which Kyle accepts. Edward enjoys making Diane feel uncomfortable as he tells Tony that he should come to the ceremony to hear his speech. Jordan convinces Sid and Juliet to deal for him with the promise of gifts if they continue to do well. Peri walks back downstairs, out of her pyjamas with her hair done, claiming to not have realised Jordan was at the house. Jordan invites Peri out to a club and Peri, playing it cool, accepts.
Diane writes Tony a note as Leela arrives. Diane gets upset and tells Leela what Edward is going to do. Leela encourages Diane to make Edward see that she won't go down without a fight. Kyle gets Darren to admit how he is really feeling. He admits that the busier he is, the quieter his thoughts are. Darren admits that he has been considering telling Mandy, to which Kyle thinks is a bad idea. Mercedes is furious to find Liam behind the bar. Liam taunts Mercedes, scaring her. James makes snide remarks towards Liam. Mercedes blames James for Warren not being released yet, and Liam is shocked to learn that James is helping Warren.
Diane explodes at Edward as she tells him not to reveal their affair. She says that if Edward reveals their affair in a speech, she will never forgive him. Juliet manages to sell drugs to another student. Kyle brings Nancy lunch, but Nancy is ungrateful and shoos him, taking the fishcake. Edward has problems with the microphone. Diane wants to take Tony back home, but he is adamant on hearing the speech. Edward prepares to make a speech, but changes his mind. James promises to make sure that Warren will be released.
Kyle struggles seeing people with their friends and partners at the bazaar. Jordan notices Kyle and jokes with him to cheer him up. Jordan offers him drugs, which Kyle accepts. He offers to buy a beer for Jordan, which he says is "tragic" and is rude towards Kyle. Jordan is delighted with how much Juliet has sold. Peri sees them hugging, and Jordan giving Juliet a watch. She confronts Juliet. Darren notices Kyle's cane laying next to a van in The Dog in the Pond carpark. He finds Kyle who is barely conscious.
