Synopsis
Maxine is still feeling the pressure to come up with some quick cash: will she listen to Liam's advice? Unaware of his dad's illness, Ollie looks forward to a future with his dad and his son.Plot
Maxine is delighted as things finally appear to be on the up for her. Liam throws darts at a photograph of Maxine on the dartboard. Ollie gives Luke a "world's best grandad" mug, which he hides from Cindy. Lisa asks Maxine for a job. Maxine reluctantly gives her a job as her assistant. Lisa is unamused when Maxine makes her sweep the floor. Beverly texts Maxine to say that she received her message, but still wants her money today. Luke breaks the news to Ollie that he meant that he would help emotionally. Luke admits that he's worried that he might not be around. Ollie tries to change his mind, which works.
Brody and Liberty are awkward between each other. Brody apologises. Liberty tells Brody that when she was in Los Angeles, people wrote contracts for everything, and suggests a parenting contract. Sienna continues to watch them through the hidden camera. Maxine asks Liam if she can have her wages early to pay the rent. Liam says that he paid the last of his cash for the salon equipment. Liam suggests that she visits Clayton, but Maxine says that he doesn't pay enough. Liam suggests that he sleeps with her but Maxine, offended, furiously refuses to do so. Liam apologises, but warns her that private landlords can be ruthless.
Luke tells Ollie that he'll tell Cindy about her being a grandmother later in the day. Luke goes to help Cindy with practising cutting the ribbon. She is worried as Luke is unable to tie a knot. Warren is shocked when he learns that Mercedes is making him work behind the bar, asking if he thought that he would get a roof over his head for free. Maxine sees Beverly go to the flat. She reveals that she's not kicking Maxine out of the flat, but taking everything she owns. Cindy asks Luke about being unable to tie the knot. She tries to comfort him. Luke is angry as he doesn't want her fussing over him. She makes him promise that starting from tomorrow, they have no more big projects. After she leaves, Luke smashes the cup Ollie gave him.
Mercedes is annoyed as Warren teases her. Warren overhears Liberty and Brody talking and is insistent that Sienna will return. Brody inadvertenly insults Liberty, who storms off. Maxine pleads with Beverly. Beverly is unsympathetic. Cindy shows a reporter around the The Cunningham Grande Bazaar when they are interrupted by Maxine, Beverly and her thugs. Maxine tries to stop Damon from getting confrontational with one of them. Tom tells Beverly that she hasn't given Maxine sufficient warning, but Beverly says that she found several letters hidden in the cupboard (which is a lie). Damon is unimpressed when Beverly mentions Maxine's "ill health". Cindy gives Maxine all of the money in her wallet in front of the reporter. Maxine runs to the van where she gives Beverly the money that Cindy gave her - £50. Beverly reminds her that the first re-payment was intended to be £300. Beverly agrees to give her her belongings back, but warns Maxine that she better get her money.
Warren and Mercedes lie to Goldie and John Paul about their "relationship". Warren refuses to do as Mercedes telling him and they tease each other before making out. Goldie and John Paul are horrified. Maxine sits on the floor in her mostly empty flat and cries. Luke sits at the dining room table and gets upset. Liberty gets upset over a photo of herself, Brody and Sienna. Ollie visits Brooke. Brooke wonders why Ollie is happier than usual. He reveals that he has good news but can't tell her yet. He says that if she goes to the market opening, he will tell her.
Brody apologises to Liberty, but she does too. Liberty says that the baby is Sienna's, not hers, but Brody says that Sienna abandoned them so it's their baby now. Brody receives a bouquet of black roses, with a note reading "to the happy family". They are confused as to who they could have been sent by. Cindy apologises to Luke. She asks him to be honest about things. Liam throws darts at Maxine on the dartboard. He quickly manages to close it before Maxine bursts into the office. She tells him that she will do whatever she needs to with Clayton.Cast
