Synopsis

Liam finds himself prime suspect for the shooting of Mercedes. Stuart forces Ste, Sid and Jonny to keep a low profile as they plan to leave. Grace tries to cover her relationship with Sylver, whilst Sami is confused when Sinead ignores him.

Plot

D.S. Cohen questions Grace on her whereabouts on the night of Mercedes's shooting. She tells her that she was in bed with Sylver, which Sylver also backs up. D.S. Cohen also questions Liam over his whereabouts. Liam says that he was "out and about". D.S. Cohen warns him that "out and about" isn't a proper alibi. Alice and Stuart have another argument, and Sid expresses his regret over deciding to live with Stuart instead of Alice. Sami and Leela are concerned when Yasmine says that she has Kashif's cricket bat just for piece of mind. Sami assures her that Stuart and Jonny aren't getting in, whilst Leela struggles to understand why they're allowed back in the village.

Leela storms into 65 Christleton Terrace and argues with Stuart and Ste. She explodes at them all. Stuart tells her that Dave set off the bomb and Stuart is glad that Dave received 25 years imprisonment. Leela warns them that everyone is watching them now. Liam sees Sylver and Grace together and taunts Sylver, making him out to be the shooter. Sylver points out that Liam has a stronger motive. Liam steals Sylver's keys. Goldie is suspicious when Joel tells her what he told the police. Grace opens up to Sylver about her not expecting Liam to lie to her about the hit-and-run, unaware Liam is hiding in the house and is in earshot. Sylver advises for Grace to stay with him longer and they end up kissing. Sami is nervous when Azim talks about the wedding.

Grace goes to get her shoes which had ended up under Sylver's bed, and she finds Liam's gun. Sylver is horrified and he realises that he's being framed when the police arrive. Goldie tells Sally that she thinks Joel is the shooter. Sally tries to change her mind. The police check Grace's bag but find nothing. Sylver tells D.S. Cohen that they're not going to find anything, but Liam has a gun and the motive. He reveals that Mercedes & Liam had an affair before she dumped him for Sylver and aborted a baby that could have been Liam's. D.S. Cohen sends out a search for Liam. Sid complains about not being able to see Violet for her birthday tomorrow. Ste asks if he can go out to get food to cook - just to do anything to get his mind off Harry. Stuart sends Sid to get groceries.

Sami sends another text to Sinead, having not been getting any responses. Grace confronts Liam and Liam is annoyed to learn that Grace took the gun. Liam is still convinced that Sylver is the shooter. Grace warns Liam that the police are onto him. Joel asks Darren to keep something quiet, unaware Goldie has seen. Goldie confronts him. Joel tells Goldie that he gave Darren a ring to put in a souffle as he planned to propose. She is delighted and says yes before he even manages to finish getting down on one knee.

Ste sneaks a note folded into a paper plane over the fence to the Maaliks. Grace and Jesse are unable to get ahold of Liam. Sami finds the note from Ste. He tells Azim to throw it in the bin, but Azim reads it - it's Ste asking for help. Liam hides the gun in his car as D.S. Cohen arrives. He tries to flee but his car doesn't start. An officer finds the gun and D.S. Cohen arrests him for possession of a firearm and the attempted murder of Mercedes.
