Synopsis
James starts to turn against his own family. Maxine struggles to find work. Cleo and Mitchell make plans to move in together, whilst Mandy and Nancy stage an intervention.Plot
Juliet wonders aloud if James would have gone through with his attempt. Maxine pays back an unimpressed Grace some of the money owed. Mandy and Nancy have called Luke and Darren to help them talk to Ollie and Brooke. Maxine's card is rejected at the ATM. The quartet agree that Ollie and Brooke need to be made aware of their responsibilities. Marnie fusses over James. He says that he knew what he was doing. Cleo is excited to learn that Mitchell is viewing the flats above the rowing club.
Juliet tries to comfort Marnie. Maxine is upset as she has lost everything. Cleo thinks that Maxine might be the problem to the staffing issue at The Dog in the Pond. Luke, Nancy, Darren and Mandy speak to Brooke and Ollie, whilst Juliet, Romeo and Marnie try to speak to James. Luke doesn't think adoption should be an option. Marnie thinks she has failed James. James is annoyed, he thinks Marnie is making things about herself. Nancy tries to convince Brooke that she can handle more than she thinks. Juliet tries talking to James. Darren tries talking to Ollie and Brooke. Romeo explodes at James.
Ollie wants to keep the baby, but Brooke is unsure. She thinks it's all too much, and runs off. James apologises to his family, Romeo has gotten through to him. Nana is cold towards Maxine, refusing her a job and shouting at her. Cleo has an idea as to who might give Maxine a second chance. Tom tries talking to Brooke. She opens up to him. He tells Brooke about what happened when Steph was born. Walter confronts Mitchell, he has overheard him. He says that Mitchell is living in sin as he has not waited until marriage. He wants Mitchell to tell Cleo that they cannot live together. Cleo pays a visit at the flat, she asks if Maxine can have a job at Price Slice. Walter thinks that Maxine deserves forgiveness, to Martine's annoyance. Walter suggests giving Maxine a trial shift.
Brooke has had her scan re-booked. Ollie is surprised that Brooke wants to raise the baby. James has met with Troy. Romeo confronts him. James reveals that he turned on the waterworks and tricked everyone. Romeo is upset as James is cold towards him. James says that Romeo is pathetic. Romeo says that it's good that Harry is dead, as that means that he is away from James. James punches Romeo and is about to kick him when he realises what he is doing. He backs away, horrified.Cast
