Synopsis
The McQueens learn of Mercedes and Sylver's engagement, but there's another shock to come for Goldie. Damon supports Maxine as she's kept in hospital for tests. Donna-Marie and Mac set Cindy up.Plot
Mercedes and Sylver's passionate moment is interrupted by Myra. Mac counts the cash Donna-Marie's made from her latest client. Misbah conducts tests on Maxine as Damon sits by her bedside. Cindy and Marnie wonder how Mac's come into money upon hearing from Juliet that they're planning a holiday in the Bahamas. Mercedes tells Myra that she and Sylver are engaged. Misbah conducts further tests on Maxine. Ste threatens Sally with the press if she doesn't act on Imran's recent assault towards him.
Donna-Marie confides in Cindy about her prostitution. Mercedes and Sylver share their news with Breda and Goldie. Goldie doesn't approve of their engagement so Mercedes reveals that Sylver's not Goldie's real brother. Damon takes Minnie to see Maxine at the hospital. Cindy encourages Donna-Marie to do the right thing and break free from Mac's chain before he starts profiting from Juliet. Breda tells Goldie and Sylver everything. Sally meets with Imran and Misbah and excludes Imran for two weeks. Mac puts a down payment on the holiday and wins Donna-Marie over when he tells her everything she's ever wanted to hear. Misbah supports her son and reassures him that whatever happens next, they'll see it through together.
Tony's stunned upon learning from Ste that he's responsible for Imran's suspension. Cindy informs James of what she's learnt from Donna-Marie. She then receives a call from Donna-Marie and hears commotion at the other end of the line; she rushes over to see what's going on. Maxine's tests come back clear. Misbah wants to send her for an MRI scan. Having caught sight of Misbah's notes, Damon tells Maxine that she noted that Maxine could have progressive brain damage. Cindy finds a calm Mac and Donna-Marie inside a ransacked 65 Christleton Terrace. D.S. Yates then shows up and arrests Cindy on suspicion of burglary. Breda tells Bronzer that she can't have Sylver "digging for bones".Cast
