• Several references are made to Rick Astley's discography during his cameo appearance:
  • As Kim walks to the bus stop and sits next to Rick, he can be heard whistling the chorus to his 1987 hit "Never Gonna Give You Up".
  • The newspaper Rick is holding over his face has a headline of "Together Forever", a reference to his 1988 song of the same name.
