Episode 444 is an episode of Hollyoaks which aired on Wednesday 19th April 2000.
Synopsis
Plot
Mr. and Mrs. Morgan have an appointment with the school headmaster, Mr. Berrington, regarding Zara's arson. Zara denies all knowledge, but falls silent when Mr. Berrington points out that she stars in the CCTV footage of the incident.
Luke sees Mandy in Deva and explains that he would like to make things right between them. Mandy, however, is convinced that his change in attitude is simply because she is now seeing Darren. Luke tries to explain what has happened to him, but she does not pick up on what he is trying to say, so gives up.
Mandy calls round at the flat to see Lewis, and confesses that what she really wants to talk about is Sol. She eventually persuades him that he should let Sol stay in the warehouse as night-watchman. Later, Lewis arrives at The Dog in the Pond with Ruth to find that Jill is waiting for them armed with a list of do's and don'ts for while she is away with Jack. Needless to say, they are less than pleased at being treated like children.
Sol is desperate for money and is left with no choice but to return to begging on the streets. When he begins chatting to a girl who is also begging, he finds that her name is Jess, and suspects that she may be prostituting herself.
Taylor pauses outside the magazine office to look at the batch of freshly-delivered magazines, and surveys the front page: a picture of Tony accompanied by the headline, "Scrooge Landlord's Student Scam". Meanwhile, Tony is baffled as to why he keeps receiving phone calls from students who say that they are no longer interested in his flats. Carol enlightens him when she shows him a copy of the Review.Cast
