Plot

The news of the fire at Hollyoaks Comprehensive is reported on the radio, and Mr. and Mrs. Morgan have been asked to go to the school again.

Sol is homeless once more having been kicked out of the warehouse by Finn and Lewis. He tells Mandy that he refuses to return to The Dog in the Pond whilst Darren is there. His mood worsens when he finds out that Mandy is going out with Darren.

Tony prepares his 'show flat' for prospective student tenants, and enlists Carol's help. However, when Sol turns up to view the property, Tony accuses him of lowering the tone of the place and throws him out. Later, Sol talks to Taylor, the editor of The Review, and explains how Tony threw him out of the flat. Seeing the potential for a story, Taylor pays a visit to Tony and explains that he would like to do a piece on local landlords. Tony is predictably flattered by the attention, but Carol is more suspicious. As the interview progresses, Tony admits that he is not being entirely honest towards his prospective tenants.

The students return to the halls following their disastrous skiing holiday. Nikki is shocked when Dan turns up to confront her. He is furious to have been jilted and accuses Nikki of not loving him, and that she only stood by him because of guilt over the accident. Nikki protests that she does love him, and never wanted to hurt him. However, when she asks that they rebuild their friendship, Dan tells her to rot in Hell. Meanwhile, as Alex checks his email, he finds that Sorcha is coming to visit, and so springs into action in an attempt to make his room look vaguely civilised.
