Episode 412 is an episode of Hollyoaks which aired on Wednesday 9th February 2000.
Synopsis
Christine starts to realise the true impact of her lies, but it's Adam who pays the price. Lewis is frustrated when he has to meet with the bank manager alone. Gordon enjoys winding up Tony at the auction. Sam attempts to resolve his cash-flow issue, whilst Alex's attempts to clean his repulsive shoes results in disaster.Plot
A devastated Finn stares at the river. Lewis and Tony tell each other about their meetings with the bank manager. Tony tells Adam off for missing work. Principal Ted Davies asks Christine for her version of events; she realises that her lie has gone too far, although she denies having a relationship with Adam. She worries when Mr. Davies mentions getting the police involved. Finn tells Lewis about his boat sinking. Tony is annoyed to find Finn in his clothes, but Carol makes him feel guilty as Finn has lost everything. Geri confronts Adam over Christine's allegations. She calls him disgusting and shoves him. Tony tells Gordon of his plans to purchase two semi-detached houses to convert into student flats.
Sam complains about his lack of money; Anna points out that Sam has a job but has not turned up in months. Mr. Grainger interviews Lewis, he thinks that it is strange that Finn could not turn up. Lewis tells Mr. Grainger that he has a(n incomplete) business degree and also runs a market stall. However, Mr. Grainger denies Lewis and Finn a loan as they are too much of a risk. Mr. Grainger is delighted to encounter Tony, whom he knows through Tony's father. Gordon tells Mandy that he is too busy to give her lessons at the moment, and that she might be better with a different instructor. Sam arrives at Drive 'n' Buy and asks Gordon for his job back. Gordon agrees to re-hire him, but vows to be more stricter. Mandy catches Gordon leaving and says that she will drive him to where he needs to get to.
Alex tries washing his shoes in the sink. The auction for 10 and 12 Hingham Road begins; Tony is confident that he can get the houses for a fifth of their value as they are dilapidated. A man at the back of the bidding hall bids on the house, but Tony can't identify him. As the man continues to drive up the price, Tony realises that the man is Gordon. He ends paying £36,000 instead of the starting price of £30,000. Tony is stopped by the auctioneer as Gordon makes a run for it with Mandy as his getaway driver. Gordon is left panicked by Mandy's driving; she is driving too fast and nearly has a collision at an intersection. The fire alarm goes off in the halls and Anna notices that the oven has caught fire. Alex prepares to extinguish the fire, but the fire extinguisher is empty so they are forced to evacuate.
Mr. Davies catches Adam trying to speak to Christine, and orders Adam to head to his office. Mandy narrowly escapes running over Meryl. Gordon explodes at Mandy. Gordon is furious to find Sam slacking on the job and Carol entering with her dog. Carol tells him that he will need to pay for therapy for Meryl. They both notice a fire engine arriving at the halls. Alex panics after hearing that the sprinklers have gone off; PHART isn't waterproof! Tony furiously confronts Gordon, he says that he will be boycotting Drive 'n' Buy. Anna finds Alex's shoes in the oven. Mr. Davies refuses to consider that Adam may be innocent as Ruth and Ed have corroborated Christine's version of events. He suspends Adam, impending an internal inquiry.Cast
