Synopsis
Darren pushes Gina and Emily to breaking point. Christine encourages Adam to use Geri to cover for their relationship. Dan attempts to fight for Nikki, Andy hopes for a reconciliation with Sue, and Tony begins to have second thoughts about the holiday.Plot
Gina places an election poster; Darren immediately vandalises it when her back is turned. Sue is fuming when Adam tells her that she has a nerve turning up at Deva. Tony researches tropical diseases and prints them out. Ruth reveals that she will be stepping down as college magazine editor. She worries that Tony is not going on the holiday for the right reasons. Gina and Emily are delighted to see that Gina is in the lead for the opinion poll. Tony gives Andy his resignation letter. Tony panics when Andy mentions Dengue Fever and Adam takes the opportunity to wind him up further. Dan tells Geri about his guilt over the hit-and-run. Adam worries when Andy thinks that Sue will return to working in Deva soon.
Gina and Emily convince Sam to vote for her. They are furious to find the vandalised poster and Gina explodes at Darren. Adam continues to tease Tony as he researches holiday locations. Andy tells Sue that she needs to put work into her half of the business. She delightfully tells Adam that she will resume working at Deva. Nikki is confused to see Dan; he has been hired for a labouring job nearby. Nikki wants him to leave the village but he feels that he cannot leave. She says that she does not love him anymore and he needs to move on. Sam returns to the flat and the pair get confrontational before Dan decides to leave. Darren winds up Gina as Ruth walks over, she is disgusted by her brother's behaviour which annoys Darren. Sam and Nikki argue over Dan.
Geri plans to play the student in the film, and cast Sam as the tutor. Christine has Geri and Adam rehearse, with Adam as the lecturer, leaving him feeling uncomfortable to Christine's amusement. Gina begins her speech. Christine points out to Adam that if people think that Geri and Adam are in a relationship, their affair will be less suspicious. Geri asks Gina what plans are in place for the female students - Gina has self-defence classes and safe-sex lessons planned. Darren asks what plans are in place for the male students. He uses the opportunity to publicly out Gina. Emily is upset when Gina says that she is not gay. Andy gets angry with Tony as he neglects his job in favour of reading his book.
Andy wants Sue to join him to host a Burns' Night event, Sue is not keen. Ruth tries to apologise to Gina on Darren's behalf. Darren walks over and Ruth explodes at him. Geri is confused when Adam distances himself from her. Christine and Adam secretly plan to meet. Gina finds a furious Emily. Darren winds Gina up, to which Gina says that they are not lovers. Emily says that there is no point being together if she cannot tell anyone, and storms off. Geri and Dan vent to each other about their love lives - they are both wanting someone too hard to get.Cast
