Synopsis
Adam struggles to keep Sue's affair quiet. Ruth is confused as to the source of Lewis's influx of cash. Carol is left disappointed upon finding her lottery ticket, whilst Lucy tells Tony the conditions of their around-the-world holiday.Plot
Tony is creeped out as Carol recites her lottery numbers. Lewis and Ruth have an argument, with Ruth unaware that Lewis intends to gamble. Tony tells Lucy that he will follow her around the world if it means that he can be with her. Adam continues to react coldly to a confused Sue. Tony outrightly outlaws Carol from digging up the capsule. Ruth and Lewis argue over Lewis not wanting to go back to college. Luke feels confident about his exams. Mandy wants to show him the photographs from the shoot, but Luke acts blasé. Tony informs Adam that he is leaving to travel with Lucy. Adam is amused at the thought of Tony being adventurous. He prepares to give Mr. Morgan his notice, but spots Carol talking to the builders. Carol is alarmed to see Lewis with a wad of cash in his wallet. Luke arrives at school for his exam and bumps into Mark, whom he bickers with.
Lewis bets on a horse named "Queen Ruth". Luke struggles to focus during his exam as Mark watches him through the window. Lewis is joyous as he has won on the horses again. Luke finds his car tyres deflated and almost gets physical with Mark. Carol finds Tony digging up the capsule. Tony drops the capsule and finds photos of Carol and Max kissing. Ruth is delighted by an expensive pen Lewis has bought her. Luke is cold towards Sue and Mandy, but refuses to tell them why. Tony gives Carol the lottery ticket - she has only won £30. Carol realises that there must be a reason why Tony wanted to keep the capsule buried, and finds an erotic novel written by Tony.
Adam explodes at Sue, calling William a "gimp". He tells her that he is frustrated at having to keep lying to his optimistic father, and threatens to tell Andy if Sue does not first. Carol and Tony continue to argue over the capsule. Lucy is alarmed when Tony talks of planning the locations and avoiding dangerous countries. Lucy decides that Mexico should be the first destination. Ruth thinks that she and Lewis should be more careful with their money, but Lewis is adamant on treating Ruth. Adam speaks to Andy, Andy says that he would get back with Sue tomorrow if he could. Adam suggests that Sue could be seeing someone else, but Andy doesn't think she is.Cast
