Synopsis
Lucy makes a decision about her future in the village. Carol and Tony are at loggerheads over her lottery ticket. Christine worries that Geri may know too much, while Darren continues to take enjoyment in winding Gina up.Plot
Lucy catches Carol searching her bag. Emily gives Gina advice for her poster for the campaign manager election. Sol confronts Gina over running for Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual Officer, and Gina immediately realises what Darren has done. Lucy tells Carol off. Carol is hellbent on continuing the search for the ticket. She visits Ruth in case she has left the ticket there, and finds a packet of condoms down the sofa. Adam attempts to avoid Geri and turns down her offer of a drink. He confides in Christine about his family problems. Carol thinks that she might have had it with her on the burning bus, but Lucy remembers that Carol was making a Millenium capsule.
Ruth refuses to help Darren play games with the election. Dan turns up at the halls with flowers for Nikki. Tony refuses to dig up the capsule for Carol. Dan confides in an uncomfortable Anna. Christine tells the students that they will be making a 10-minute film for the college's regional film competition. Adam unconvincingly accepts Geri's offer to work together. Dan wants to reconcile with Nikki, she is annoyed that he is living in a hostel in Chester and rejects him in favour of Sam. Geri suggests that the group make a film about an affair between a good-looking student and a teacher who has "been around the block a few times", which would be a ‘fantasy', causing Christine to storm off.
Lucy looks at holiday destinations in a travel agents'. After class, Christine furiously confronts Adam until he explains his reasons. Sol and Dan bond over struggling to find jobs and having spent time in prison. A student nearly catches Adam and Christine kissing, she starts to get cold feet over their relationship. She relents when Adam locks the door and kisses her. Carol and Tony argue over the lottery ticket. Lucy interrupts and tells them that she's decided to go travelling around the world with Aunt Rose's money.Cast
