Ruth and Lewis are horrified to see Alex in hospital, he informs them that Sam and Nikki were injured in the alley wall collapse. Lucy tells the detective inspector about the fire. She tells him about Rob starting the fire. She went back for her friends but not for Rob. She says that she wishes that she went back for Rob, so she could see him "burn in hell". Sam is relieved to learn that Nikki is conscious. The detective inspector questions Finn, Finn reveals that the bus was not insured. He subtly asks about Rob's grudge. Adam considers whether or not to tell Mr. Morgan about the affair. The detective inspector wants to question Beth. The doctor tells Tony that he can visit a sleeping Lucy in the morning. He urges Tony to go home and sleep. An upset Beth struggles to answer the questions. She thinks that she could have prevented the whole thing. Beth blames Lucy. Lewis invites Finn to stay with him and Ruth until he can sort things out. Tony overhears the doctor saying that the police want to question Lucy. The police seem to be viewing Lucy as a suspect, and he plans to discharge Lucy in the morning. Tony informs the group that the police think that Lucy killed Rob.
