Plot

Zara is determined to ruin her parents' reconciliation, much to the annoyance of Adam and Beth. Adam and Beth try to persuade Mr. M to cook a special dinner for Mrs. M that night, but he thinks that they are prying and dismisses the idea. Therefore, Beth and Adam take matters into their own hands and buy the ingredients for that night's special meal - but again Mr. M rejects the idea.

Mr. M is not convinced about Adam's switching courses to media studies, but Adam feels sure that he has made the right decision. Rob sends Beth a text message and he meets her outside the back of Deva, arranging to meet up later by the river. Zara is still intent on ruining things between Rob and Beth, and manages to bribe Beth into lending her make-up in return for silence. Beth meets Rob by the river and he tells her that he has already spoken to Zara, and that she needn't worry about Zara telling her parents. Beth is anxious to go back to Rob's place, but Rob's not so keen - has he got something to hide?

Cindy feels that they should take Holly to hospital, but Sean says that Social Services will be informed and they'll try to take her away from them. Sean reassures Cindy and says that it will heal of its own accord, and that Holly is only ratty because she is tired. Cindy puts her faith in Sean once more, but Holly continues to cry and seems to be getting worse.
